New Cast for 'Yamato yo, Towa ni: Rebel 3199' Announced
The Yamato yo Towa ni: Rebel 3199 (Be Forever Yamato: Rebel 3199) special stage at the Bandai Namco Group booth announced five new cast members on Sunday. The anime will premiere in seven parts, with the first part—Kuro no Shinryaku (The Dark Invasion)—opening in theaters on July 19.Cast
Alphonse: Makoto Furukawa (Yuukoku no Moriarty)
Isidore: Shun Horie (Akudama Drive)
Rambell: Takuya Eguchi (Spy x Family)
Takeshi Ageha: Yuuto Uemura (Vinland Saga)
Seiya Kitano: Kousuke Toriumi (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 5: Ougon no Kaze)
Naomichi Yamato (Macross Δ Movie 2: Zettai Live!!! assistant director) is helming the anime at studio MOTHER. Harutoshi Fukui (Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi) is handling the series composition and also penning the script with Hideki Oka (Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2202: Ai no Senshi-tachi).
Nobuteru Yuuki (Under Ninja) is designing the characters. Akira Miyagawa (Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199) and Shuu Kanematsu (Hametsu no Oukoku) are composing the music.
Yamato yo Towa ni: Rebel 3199 reinterprets the 1980 Yamato yo Towa ni (Be Forever Yamato) movie and will be reorganized into a 26-episode series.
The latest entry in the reboot, Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi, premiered in two movies in theaters in October 2021 and February 2022.
