This fails on every level. Nothing is worse than an anime presenting a bunch of dogshit ideas and characters in a way that expects the viewer to pat it on the back for trying. This by far on another level worse than all the love-tetrahedrons melodrama trite that exists. Not only is it intentionally indulging in a degenerate fetish, it thinks that it's being subversive, funny and deep for doing it. It's being absolutely serious about its premise. It thinks it's funny and wholesome. It's not. In fact, it's incredibly sad for what it implies about the society that made it. There's wish fulfillment anime--questionable, but fair enough; I love ecchi trash every now and then! Then there's this. This is perversely getting off to the idea of having love interests stolen. Atleast school days did it right. This WOULD be fine if was just about a bunch of cute girls and their failings; but the existence of a completely emasculated main character changes the entire lens that the anime is viewed through.
