If my pfp doesn't make is obvious enough, I LOVE My Hero Academia. I'm fully aware just how much bad blood that statement can carry and frankly, if you don't like MHA, that's ok! Everybody has preferences, and I completely understand it's not for everybody. That being said, after a whole decade of the manga, and 8 years of the anime, MHA is finally over... It feels surreal to be honest. I've been a fan since around early 2020, getting into the show as kind of a rebound because no new MCU content was coming out. Never in my life did I expect to love this show as much as I did, but I got sucked into the world and have been on this ride for more than 4 years now, and you know what? I don't regret it. Did the series have a bad rep (mostly because of the fandom?)- yeah, and I won't deny that. But, thankfully, I was on the side of the fandom mostly just talking about these funky little characters we like, and even the theory side of the fanbase for a while. I remember DISTINCTLY when Dabi got revealed to be a Todoroki, me and SO many other hooted and hollered in joy yelling "WE GOT IT! WE WERE RIGHT!", and it's a moment I'll never forget. All of this is to say, thank you, Kohei Horikoshi, for this incredible series that helped me get not only out of my depressive episodes during Covid, and helping me connect to some of my closest friend over the years. I look forward to whatever you create next, and again, thank you Horikoshi, you amazing man. <3
