Hey, don't worry about it! How has your day been?
Lain was a unique experience, I can't quite describe how the show manages to make you feel a certain way. I feel bad for Lain, afterall, she never wanted any of this, she just wanted to be a normal person like anyone else. For a show that aired in 1998, it's so ahead of its time. I feel like SEL's purpose isn't like other anime where they are trying to tell a story, no, whilst on the surface it may seem like SEL does this, I feel like it's a big statement as to oppose the potential risks of estabalishing the internet as a fundamental part of soceity. Although we don't lose our bodies to live in the internet just with your soul in real life, metaphorically speaking, many people still do live on the internet, why go out when you have everything at your fingertips, you can socialisie, watch live sports, etc. why actually go out? Now, I dont really care how people live thier lives, for me, I like to have a middle path where I train, stay at home most of the day and then go for a hike. I think Lain has way more themes than the one I just mentioned, but my hands are hurting now lmao

Ruru was one of the best parts of Musaigen (at least for me) and in general, Musaigen is definitely underappreciated. People saw "KyoAni" and expected some sort of epic sci-fi adventure or the next brilliant rom-com or some sorta moe-overload type show, but instead we got dumb ecchi. I actually was disappointed in the show at first because it just felt shallow compared to something like Haruhi, Hyouka or even Maid Dragon, but by the time I got to the end, I realized I was flat out enjoying it for being a fun ride. I was sad when it was over because I realized that was it and there wouldn't be anything else.

Btw, hope you are enjoying Chobits, I saw it for the first time only a year ago and it became one of my favorites, both anime and manga.
