| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |
| I have been watching this show since it started airing and I have to admit this show truly captures the 'Game' aspect correctly, unlike some other anime which I have watched. It seems the 2nd season will start airing in October and it will also have 2 consecutive cours. I have high expectations for it! |

| And thus this stretched out nothingburger of gaming sham finally gets to an end. It could had easily fit in just 13 episodes taking out all the padding and worthless infodumping or plain blabbermouthing scenes Shame that so much effort was invested in animation and voice acting in a hollow and souless show with cardboard cutout characters. Take a look at GunGale Onine as a good example of doing more than just the "gamur" experience, Lenn felt more like an actual character with more sides than just one smug act like Sunraku does, in fact her personality IRL was completely different and the online gaming part that allowed her to just unwind and reach out to people. Characters like Rei had no purpose other than being doormart to inflate the neckbeard fantasy of a cute girl stalking a literal nobody that only plays videogames all day and has zero personality or skills. Shame that Aramis joined until now, he's the legit only clown in this circus that made me laugh (that and Bilac that served the necessary role of a straightman) This one gets a 3/10 in my books just for the animation effort. Remember kids, good graphics don't make a videogame, and in the same way, good animation shouldn't be an excuse to cover for poor storytelling and poor character writing. |

| So ends the first season of one of the best VRNMORPG anime ever. Been such a fun time watching this one for 6 months. Can’t wait to see what comes in season 2. This finale didn’t feel like a finale so much as a cliffhanger for the second season, which luckily will be here in October. Always nice to see Emul in her human form and the Mahou Shoujo being a dude was a hilarious twist. Not just any dude though, YOROKOBE SHONEN himself, the legendary Jōji Nakata voicing her was such a wtf moment in the best possible way. I swear this show is so real because behind almost every anime girl pfp or avatar you see online is a guy 😂 we’ve had two of them in this show so far. The offer to join the library and learn the mysteries of this world is definitely appealing, I don’t see Sunraku accepting though… there is a ton of lore we haven’t got into yet with the world, hopefully season 2 will cover more of that. At times the pacing felt a little off in this season. Great animation, characters and a proper VRMMORPG world with interesting mechanics, just didn’t like the pacing at times. |

| What an amazing journey it has been. I loved Sanraku's journey and his companions tagging along with him throughout this game. Emul is the cutest in this show. Bilac is amazing as well. Can't wait to see more of them later this year when Season 2 comes out. It was a very fun show. I thoroughly enjoyed it from the beginning till the end. Sasuga, C2C. |

| wow since october last year, its actually been a long run and we already have another two cour season announced for fall 2024, this show is running big game. 7/10 i enjoyed cour 1 more than 2 even though cour 2 had some crazier animation. |

| I don't mind that the old guy is trying to RP as some sort of magical girl but this is FDVR, at least use some kind of voice modulation program to make the the audio match the visuals. |

| And with a lot of new side quests opening left and right, a mysterious magical girl with an old man's voice, a lovey dovey cat swordsman among a lingering rematch against Lycargon, the season comes to an end. I ended up really liking it more so as I usually play a lot of games and understand the struggles of hard challenges, escort missions, MMO forums, grinding, skill trees and many more. In the way this story was approached I understand that the author must have had a lot of experience not only playin but consulting and comparing from different sources and it really shows. Still, it's not perfect as some of the mott for the series kept being repeated at the beginning of every episode and the pacing could have been a bit better during some explanations. Again, as a usual player in these fields I understand and value that contribution but also can't deny just much of a chunk it takes. Thanfully the battle animation was so great that at times I forgot about it, not to mention the metal openings and the way the mini theatre was not only cute but sometimes added details or answered questions before I could ask them. The bar is high for season 2 but not as much as unreachable in the least. |

| Masterpiece. Amazing staff brings epic anime. Beautiful. Fun. Amazing action. Monaca brings perfect music again. The bass is amazing (I have a simple home theater). Did you play Nier Automata, one of the best games of all time, one of the best music of all time? Monaca music studio. Did you remove all your armor to fight Artorias in Dark Souls 1? Maybe Malenia in Elden Ring? Did you solo that epic boss in that super hard difficult? This is why this anime is so fun. One of my favorite anime ever. AAAAAAAAAHHH I WANT TO PLAY THIS GAME!!! |
| The way Emul matches Sunraku's facial expressions when he was showing Bilac the materials he gathered was great lol. Also, I was not expecting that pink haired magical girl to sound like that so I'm guessing an older guy is playing as her? (I had a male friend that would only play female characters in an old MMORPG I used to play). While this finale was alright I'm glad that a 2nd season announcement was made right away but I'm more surprised and impressed that it's coming out later this year with 20+ more episodes, nice! Also, the animation and character designs were good but I thought some portions dragged on including the Wethermon fight and even the build up for it. 7/10 |
| Funniest part is based on what was shown and said in the aftermath of Wethermon, the magical olg guy is married and his wife is co-leader of the guild. Rabuzza is still my only gripe with the show. It is way way too convenient for Sunraku in order to basically skip all the content and not only get all the tutorials he needs and shops, etc without having to play the same game as the rest, but it also has higher tier of each NPC job there. Emul and the rest of AI is badly portrayed in the way that they made too much "alive", this could have been avoided just by not making scenes about Emul waiting for Sunraku while he is fighting and things like that. Overall liked it, mindless fun as it markets itself. |

| There was way too much slapstick humor in this episode and all while introducing a new character. It didn't leave a great impression, to be honest. But they teased some interesting developments for the next season and I'm excited to see more of this incredible world. Especially how beating one of the unique monsters influences everything that happens in the story moving forward. |

| Good show, but not really my thing. Solid production quality, and the Wethermon (ik I spelled that wrong somehow) fight went hard. Not really any story to it, which made it hard to watch for me personally, but it's not really needed if you know what you're getting into: just a guy and some friends playing a really damn good game. And that's all you need; to just have it saturday-afternoon-cartoon-style to sit back and unwind to. It's been 24 episodes of consistent quality, and the next season is already not that far off; that's kind of impressive to say the least. Speaking of season 2, probably won't be watching it myself. But for those most of you who did enjoy this first season, you'll probably enjoy the next just as much if not more. |

| What the...? That cute pink-haired Mahou Shoujo from the OP is voiced by Nakata Jouji? Freaking Kotomine Kirei from Fate?! LMAO! Pretty laid-back episode to conclude this first season. Aramis's character was introduced and I already love the dynamic he shares with Bilac. He kinda reminds me of Pepe Le Pew but less horny lol. Really cool show overall. Very clear regarding what it wanted to be and as result, the final product ended up being a truly enjoyable experience for me. Cast was likeable, there were some really nice character designs and visuals remained surprisingly consistent throughout the whole show. Not to mention the high-quality animation during most of the fights, with Wethermon being the highlight. Seriously, Sunraku's journey has been such an entertaining one and the news of a second season coming this soon only make me feel more eager to see him and co. again. 8/10 - See you all in October. |

| The ending really made me want a s2. Loved mostly everything about the series minus the mcs quiet stalker romantic interest. I did like her in game form though. A 10/10 from me. The manly mahou shoujo was comedy gold. |

| The world and story of this anime are intriguing, but holy shit are the side characters unbearably annoying. The prospect of the insufferable cat character tagging along for the next journey is a real turn-off. It's also strange that the last two episodes of this season were essentially filler. I'll still be checking out Season 2, but my expectations aren't super high. |
