It's kinda funny how Sensei seems to always get on the wrong side of the law. Almost like a meme at this point and his party members ends up getting dragged along with him.

The king who jailed them gave me a strange impression for his attitude as well. Good to know Near is officially a party member now so we'll see a lot of him from now on.

Doesn't matter if they're a human or a furry, as long as their an anime character, they're under the belief that, “cUtTiNg yOuR HaIr = cHaRaCtEr dEvElOpMeNt”, lol.

New Other Worlder is as much as prick as the other. Can't wait to see the look on his face next week when Sensei transports him back to the original world.

OK, this has to be the weirdest talent/thing for another World person YET in this show. How did it even come about? And how did the Priestess who greeted Him not realize that it would be used for evil?!

Wasn't expecting to discover that Tama is a princess. Really looking forward to next week and her showdown with the evil other worlder.

To be fair, if I'm overpowered in another world I would chain up a bara furry king too.

Brazen bull mentioned 🔥
Tama being a princess was convenient cause the party lacked a runaway princess trope. Matilda had it real rough past and now she also the reason her father got beaten and captured.
Karibara dude is wielding a cursed spirit like Rika. This guy seems pure evil too. It will be intresting to see his side of story. It will be a good struggle for Sensei and Matilda to beat him. Sensei also said it's not time to die things about to down..

Great setup episode

Great episode and hyped to see what happens next.

Also loved the confusion in Ogre Guards A and B when Sensei said he wanted to be eaten 😂 Hoping Tama kicks butt next episode, and assuming she's come out ok (since she's like the awesome cat-girl of the show).

Honestly, feels this new antagonist is very mismatched against Sensei. A person whose whole abilities are based on him eating creatures vs a guy whose blood is so poisonous creatures just die instantly if they drink it. Unless this dude has some immunity to poison, he would immediately die or have a slow, painful death if he goes against sensei. Plus, Sensei gets that health boost when he knows he is about to die can help as well.

Noo you can’t just leave me on a cliffhanger like that, this episode went by way too quick and ended just as it was getting good man. Tama my beloved, please be safe

Tama being a princess came out of nowhere! But we were missing that trope in our story and for someone like Dazai who loves a good narrative, he couldn’t have asked for a better twist. I thought we might have a Konosuba Darkness arc on our hands, but Kaibara showing up is even better. So if he’s the fallen angel of gluttony I assume the others will correspond to the remaining seven deadly sins. his ability to eat people with a floating mouth is genuinely disgusting I didn’t expect this show to get that dark.

On paper even if he were to eat sensei it would be horrible for him since sensei’s blood contains poison . I wonder if that’s his actual strategy and not just a gag to get the ogres to let him in the castle lmao. It’s fitting they end up right back in the castle lock up where we started the episode too

One thing that kinda confused me was they called Kaibara the fallen angel of gluttony at times, but then someone else said he was an otherworlder and I thought the fallen angels and heroes were two separate factions

Anyway, I understand Tama wanting to fill her brother’s void but honestly she was pretty stupid in this episode. Cost her dad his arm and then comes back to fight Kaibara who is clearly on a whole other plain of existence than she is, without any regard to whatever plan sensei and the others have come up with. Hopefully they get out of that cell before anything too bad happens

Good episode

Man, what an episode, one of those that felt like just less than 5 minutes had passed and then the ED starts playing and surprises you. Started as a silly show and it just keeps getting better.

Yeah I also was not expecting Tama to be a princess, interesting development. Hopefully she is able to hold her own until Sensei and the others get there as I think he will be able to teleport this otherworlder the same way he did the others.

It was surprising to learn that Tama is actually a princess named Matilda with a tragic past, trying to shoulder a great responsibility and gain her father's approval. I'll still call her Tama, though, and it was a bit foolish and stubborn of her to get involved when her father was facing a fallen angel.

Anyway, the Sensei will do something to defeat it. Maybe the angel will consume him but won’t withstand the poison in the Sensei's body, or perhaps the Sensei will depress him and send him back to the human world. However, if he returns, I doubt society will welcome that kind of person. The guy literally became a psychopath and a cannibal.

@Sheol01

Think about Rimaru or other "gluttony/absorb" characters in isekais. many of them only use their power on monsters or "evil/corrupt" humans.

Well I guess Tama has a name after all, it’s Matilda and she’s the princess of her nation, I feel like I should have predicted this but I like being surprised too lol, it’s just unfortunate this Matilda does not have psychic powers, she slays that dress tho. And it seemed like the plot would simply be convincing Tama’s dad, aka the king, to let her keep traveling with Sensei and the gang, but then came Kaibara and things got a lot darker with his powers to summon a massive mouth that eats people, which allows him to taste what the mouth eats, meaning this motherfucker is just casually eating people, a bit surprised this silly show went this far but I guess when you consider Sensei always wants to die, this isn’t too out of left field lol.

And along with this new threat, we got lots of backstory for Tama which I’m happy to see, now she’s more than just a goofy cat girl, she’s a tragic goofy cat girl lol, Sensei jumping at the opportunity to write because of it is no surprise. And Sensei may have waltzed in there requesting that he be eaten, but he’s definitely going in there to save the kingdom like that village from before, I’m just wondering if this Kaibara guy will be sent back to his world too, that seems like it’s too good for someone as demented as he is, but perhaps his life was terrible before he was isekaid so maybe it will be like sending him back to hell, either way I’m interested in seeing what Sensei does, as well as some more Tama action.

So Tama's a princess, woop de doo. This reveal would've felt more impactful later after we get to know Tama more. Like Annette said, she hasn't even seen Dazai's ability yet—is she really part of the group at this rate?

I love how lowkey competent Sensei is. We don't need to fight our way into the castle when we can get them to imprison us in a cell we know we can leave any time we want.

lol but this time, she cuts her hair to look more like a boy to replace her brother, so it's actually a valid reason to do so

am i the only person who thinks this show is actually underrated ? it's because of the unnecessary fan service people think it's gonna be bad without even giving it a chance
, and the isekai genre has loads of bad shows, so people just assume it's going to be just as bad when in reality its really good, even the production part in great which is starting to be rare in this kind of shows.

So Dazai's been making a princess drag his coffin around. The true king of the series.

I kind of hated the cat king for threatening the lives of Tama's friends to get her to agree to settle down and behave & dismissing her martial arts so out of hand. But then she failed completely against the evil Otherworlder twice and got the king's arm bitten off, so, uh, actually maybe he was right on that one. When she was unconscious Dazai encouraged her not to give up, so hopefully next episode she gets to accomplish something.

Really dug Kaibara's powers, between the king's fingers still in his mouth and spitting out random knick knacks of people he ate they made it fairly gruesome and I loved it. Truly a power you'd expect to bring down a kingdom and strike fear into everyone. Hopefully when Dazai beats him it's not an underwhelming ass pull.

Not completely sure but there is also a historical figure in Japan known as Kaibara Ekken. Not sure if the Kaibara introduced here is patterned from the Kaibara Ekken (who is also known as Atsunobu and a known Neo-Confucian and botanist) but one of most known literary works attributed to him is something of a series of self-help books about lessons for children and learnings for women, which are coincidentally what the isekai Kaibara prefers to eat.

Definitely wasn't expecting Matilda (Tama) to be an actual princess.
I don't think she stands a chance, she is only LV 18 and her father is almost 60.
Sensei will probably come at the last minute to save her and use his power to send Kaibara back to earth.

Damn Tama was a princess, of course Tragic backstory here we go.

So this Otherworlder kinda like Rimuru, but Rimuru used the Gluttony in a good way.

Those Orge reaction when Sensei requested to be eaten LMAO

Good episode

in episode 5, the Elven cardinal said the Seven Arcangels who destroyed the Deomon lord have now become Fallan Angels who have bared their fangs on the Elven Pope and the World. So the otherworlders who defeated the Demon Lord became the Fallen Angels. I mostly posted this to say "Elven Pope"

I seems like every Other Worlder in the party that defeated the Dark Lord will have a Gift related to one of the Seven Deadly Sins. Interesting...
Also Kaibara's Gift is similar to the skill of the MC of Re:Monster. He's not only eating them, but also gaining their abilities (like the Golems).
Where is the next episode, that felt like less than 5 minutes!

Sensei looks a bit like the Japanese writer, Osamu Dazai.

Why did they not show us that Tama is actually Matilda, the princess of Grun’s Kingdom? It means that she is renowned back there, after all, she grown in Grun city. She also had a sad background story. Hearing her brother and mother vanished was very sad.

Kai bara is interesting as one of the Fallen Angels of Gluttony, his killing skill is overpowered. There must be an amazing battle between him and Syberian.
