The power dynamic weirds me out a bit. I think I may be thinking too deeply about the worldbuilding? I'm still not sure how much sapience I should assign to her. Last episode really worked for me, and parts of this one did, but ... I just have a lot of questions, and depending on the answers, possibly also concerns. We'll see.

@WerewolfAshen I think Mina obviously already has some form of emotion but I definitely get where you're coming from with the power dynamic. Especially after Mina outright told Takuma's sister that she has to obey her programming. Her fascination with the ring and how happy she was to go out for a picnic reveal to me at least that she is learning how emotions work and that she can have them herself.

@Grubdawg Yeah, I agree on all points. Makes the situation complex. First episode I wasn't sure if it would go in a sweet or creepy direction. Last episode I was _pretty_ sure they were going with sweet, and this episode I'm a little bit back to uncertainty. We'll see. I do like all the characters, if nothing else.

I thought this episode was ok as Takuma's sister, Akari, was meddling a bit too much although Takuma told her he didn't mind but he actually does. On a side note I'm curious as to what's on the SD card and I think they are interactions/memories Mina has saved with Takuma.

@Alfredo-Sauce Well, I hope it isn't a death flag. Mina (basic model) is probably already out of warranty by now. Actually, I get the feeling her warranty was already violated by her previous owner. Otherwise her specs are a bit suspicious.

It's interesting that she smiles on the ending, so I'm guessing that she does develop some level of emotions/expressions later on? Based on what was shown so far, as she kinds of shows some level of expectations here and there, weirdly, somehow.

Also I guess that backup will play a part later on.

Too bad I can't keep going with this to find out later on. As I see it, there are two ways to think/feel about this series.

Either you find it funny and wholesome because "haha newlyweds and she scolds him but it's funny because it is bizarre that she is a robot", or like me, you think of it as the saddest and most embarrassing loser with a trad wife fantasy created so far, and die of cringe, and that degenerate little sister, is the last thing I needed to see.

It's Takuma's sister's turn Akari to know of Mina, though that explodes her interspecies romance fetish of quite the charm of a human being in love with a robot. The icebreaking attempt to get to know Mina better, and more often than not, it's her fetish that is a literate gushing effect on why she can say that Takuma loves her all the same, even as a cheapened version of the Super Mina robot that everyone will see out in the open.

Akari sure loves going into the fetish ways that Mina answers her just about the same as ever, though the SD card that allows her to save a backup of her previous memories, I really wonder what that contains. Other than that, Mina is constantly being spruced up by Akari, which reminagines her to more of a maid clothing, plus others that she bought for her. And the wish of trying out bathing together, Takuma got all dizzy, and at least Mina can withstand human temperatures, like a robot should be.

Still quite lovely, yeap.

Introducing new characters- THE FAM

Sister Akari here is really cute and kind of funny with her extreme outbursts.
Her reaction to her brother having a maid-robot at first was pretty legit. At first- then she decided it was awesome which I think is the anime just trying to stay positive and funny rather than going the tragic route.
The scene where he tells Mina to hide in the closet, but then changes his mind reminds me of a scene in Fate/Stay Night where Shirou tries to hide Saber from Sakura and Taiga; but it was drawn out a bit more for dramatic affect. Still it shows how he cares about the robot's feelings pretty strongly.
