@Myetx Reading your Profile name, you are not the same person that responded to me, so let me explain to be clear, because you might have gotten the wrong impression.

I was trying to make a point about the "misunderstanding" trope that is used in both "Shadow" & "Parrying".

I hated "Shadow's" extreme overuse of the "misunderstanding" trope, it got so annoying that I actually docked points off.

However, "Parrying's" use of the "misunderstanding" trope has not gotten me that annoyed yet, the MC is more innocent ignorant inexperienced. I am still hoping that at some point things are cleared up between the MC and the apprentice princess.

Also, I like the "Parrying" anime and their MC a lot more than "Shadow" and their MC.

Sorry for the confusion, thanks for responding though.

That's because you clearly enjoy brain rot

@Cody8076 If you are using your brain to watch anime, then you have horrible cognitive skills 🤣
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.

Again this man cluelessness gets more on my nerve then could possibly be entertaining. Also the factor that nothing ever gets cleared up make it all the worst. Has potential, but this keeps making me question how much more of it I can take.

What happened to the slave kid of Rolo is basically the result of being an abandoned orphan who lived his life as a slave, and the resort to using the Black Death Dragon frog to create havoc, which Noor eventually parries on his own might, only to succumb to its poison, something which he ate out of curiosity when he was a young kid that slowly affected his internal organs, and also something that slowly made his body insusceptible to poison.

It's the same thing happening now with the frog, which Noor took care of...and mistook it for a delicacy that Rolo was sending the same havoc to the city to sell it. Not even his monster controlling power is something that Noor believes he has, even rightfully so with the demonfolk origin, because Noor's thinking is just that simple. Even Lynne was surprised at how well Noor is able to use his presumed Sacred Spirit power to develop immunity against poison, though dealing with Rolo is another case in its own, that Noor treats Rolo with compassion instead of the usual thinking of royal nobility.

Noor's thinking is too simple for our complicated thinking, that's one.

Yeah. Already bet that many western audience didn't really liked this kind of tropes. They think that the misuderstanding is already too much lmao. Ofc the answer is no, the show is still good af.

Also about that misunderstanding part. It's one of the charm tho, either drop it or enjoyed it. But i still hope the partial correction on those misunderstanding toward the end of last episodes 6 week later.

Poison resistance huh? Looks like he leveled it up over the years that even the so called Black Death Dragon who can poison even the soil itself is a mere inconvenience.

...and once again his naivety seems to be working well that he misunderstood...and Lynn is also misinterpreting his motives and intentions. Oh well, maybe (and I fervently hope) we'll get better outcomes later despite these misunderstandings.
You see there's no need to wonder where your god is,
Coz he's right here! ...and he's fresh out of mercy.

As always Noor's stupidity is hilarious, when he got bitten by that snake and kept eating poisonous food because it was delicious I burst out laughing.

He solves problems by taking the most simple and straightforward path displaying an endearing naivety and good-heartedness, really enjoying this show.

And for me this is the second time i had to stop the streaming for a while to laugh it up before continue watching because Noor thinks that Black Death Dragon is literaaly an ingredient (for food)

I know there are a lot of watchers who hate this beacuse of those misunderstanding especially from Noor (no offence okay) but i think i'm goona hook up on this one till the end not just because of those misunderstandings, but because of the storytelling, the background music and also the animation style.

p/s: i think one time that he learnt about the poison resistance, he accidentally trained the Low Heal skill to the max, that's why he still seems fine and protect Rolo during the fight

@ejleon got stale after first episode if you ask me.

A question: Did you like Eminence in Shadow?
@ejleon not on the first watch. Subsequent watches were more entertaining.

I see, thanks for responding.

I ended up not liking “Eminence”, one huge reason was the constant lack of listening, communication, and “misunderstandings”, I actually removed points in rating it because I was so annoyed.

@ejleon you are welcome. I disliked it at first but then people started talking how it's a parody and all that. So if you approach it from point of view of parody, then it makes more sense. Kind of how things always align so he is right about things, even when he rambles complete nonsense like cult of Diablos existing and trying to revive a demon.

I heard that “parody” talk, but I do not think it fits this anime.

I grew up watching parodies like “Spaceballs” (parody of Star Wars), “Dracula: Dead and Loving It”, and “Austin Powers” (parody of James Bond), these were all hilarious parodies of their respective movies.

“Eminence” did not come off as a parody, it was not hilarious like the movies above, it came off as a mockery of the isekai genre, which just fed into what the haters claim about isekai anime.

That was another reason I didn’t like it.
