Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san Episode 1 Discussion

based on the first episode it seems that the manga is unnecessarily sexual (which is bad) but the anime doesnt magnify that (which is good)
there definitely were some parts that made me uncomfortable, so im not sure if i will watch the whole show or not
if it has too much porn in it i will drop it, which is really sad because doga kobo has always been my favorite studio, i already dropped their last anime which i am very disappointment in them for making, perhaps something has changed at doga kobo, they are not as great as they were a decade ago

i like the animation style of this show, but it is a little brighter than i would prefer, which seems to be a trend in 2024

i started watching this because i saw a clip of it on youtube, and it was a scene that could have been sexualized but wasnt, this first episode was a little more sexual than i was expecting which is disappointing
for now i plan to keep watching it but i could drop it, and i am more hesitant to drop corrupt shows than i should be

Finally just started seeing this series, and it has is not disappointed! I’m really liking the dynamic between Alya and Kuze. I really like the fact that Kuze is not a wimp like so many male protagonist in these romance series seem to be. Especially during that whole sock scene, where he was called as such, and yet he still puts Alya’s sock on her!

I was a bit surprised with some of the scenes that they were showing, like with the slurping, and as well as that sock scene, the latter really raise my eyebrows. But hey, if you know anything about me, then you know that I definitely don’t have a problem with that kind of stuff! 😁

The only bad thing that I seen, is the fact that the closing theme starts out in English(and there’s quite a bit of it throughout the theme). And I was thinking “come on, we already have the show in Japanese and Russian, we don’t need to throw another language in there.” It just makes it a bit confusing, that’s all.

I really wish I would’ve started watching this sooner! 9.5/10
