| @KatoWorks I think thats the ED meant to be shown at the very end of the season lol. Think this ED was just there for Anime Expo. I think the actual ending for ep 2 when dropping on Crunchyroll will be how the first ep did it. |
| Mostly solid but the last few min were disappointing ngl. Way too condensed af, skipped the entire bath scene where the very new characters in the series were bonding a bit and trying to speak to Viole there (which made more sense with how Wangnan dropped the ring) as well as the convo with the test admin and the director being rushed to create a cliffhanger. There definitely be pacing issues in this season too from how it looks. |
| The way everyone acted was just shameful. I get why, but still, I'd rather just keep my mouth shut. I wonder what the game will be. It's been to long since I read the source, so a lot I don't remember. did they seriously just speedrun the whole cour at the end? oh boy. |

| Oof, the art & animation of this episode....hopefully this just means they'll go ham on the action scenes. Well overall it was an ok episode, pretty dialogue heavy and there's quite a bit of comedy. Wangnan can be pretty cringe but the lengths he's willing to go to climb up the tower is respectable and a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do to keep his organs intact. Though I'm really sad they didn't include one of the funniest parts of the chapters. And no Viole with his hair down :') And yeah, like others are saying: if you're an anime-only, do NOT watch the ending!! This leaked episode shows the whole thing, whereas the official episode 2 coming out on Sunday should only reveal a few new panels from episode 1. Edit: Rewatched the official version, great to know the ED doesn't spoil the whole thing. But anyways, also gotta say love the Hatz namedrop, can't wait to see him and his teammates again. |

| Only saw the ED specifically because heard that the full thing was shown and while it looks a little better than how everything was empty in season 1, not my favorite kind of ED sequence though. It's more effort at least than Rachel lying down nearly the entire time like in season 1 so that's something. Furthermore based on the visuals, it did help me gauge the pacing a bit and overall, the ending point makes sense and shouldn't adapt as many chapters in total as season 1 had to for this cour specifically so that is a positive. It is very, very spoiler-heavy though so I don't get why this I assume was shown in Anime Expo since it displays key elements of stuff that takes place throughout the entire cour (each episode involved). Not the best idea there in my opinion, and the fact it leaked out as it did isn't great. Hopefully anime-onlys managed that bothered to get the leaks just not watch the ending whatsoever this time around and just wait till episodes actually release properly. I'll comment on how the actual episode is when I see the official version in a few days from now when released. |

This was a very talk heavy ep if they just saved the budgets for the fights and have cheap talking scenes that would honestly be fine |

| @OvergrownRover Yeah I know, it's just that I've seen some comments from people who've seen the 4 pre-screened episodes in Japan and they claimed the animation was much better than the first season, so....well it's still too early to fully judge considering this episode mainly had a lot of sitting/talking, we should have a better sense of things by the third-fourth episode. |

| Ok thank god I read this post right as I was about to watch the ending! As for the episode, same as for the first. I hope this is the build up for something REALLY good because so far I'm not a fan of going through season one with diffrent characters. |

| "The Yeon Family's Flamethrower". Fancy name aside, at least we got some info on the new characters, like with that with Yeon Yihwa. Viole's decision to not choose any teammate is surprising to many here. He looked arrogant at first but he really meant it by his words. Not much action so they're setting up for more in this stage for the second exam. I just find the mind game between the cast slightly amusing. |

| Nice. Its FUG boy vs. Tester now! Excited for next episode. The Yeon girl was just lol she got ghosted by FUGGY near bath-hall. The ED of this anime is awesome its slowly growing on me. |

| This episode felt lacking to me. Last few minutes with the downtime were mainly skipped which is a shame, and the rest of the episode admittedly felt somewhat lacking. Even in the episodes in the first season that didn't have as much going on or had very simple tests, the atmosphere, the visuals, the backgrounds, the music and even characters kept momentum going somewhat in those earlier episodes. Felt like some parts were rushed here and there or not executed well enough like the scenes towards the end or Yeon Yihwa's failed punch attempt just happening out of nowhere so suddenly. No real breathing room anywhere to let some scenes or moments even when they are happening linger a bit to make everything feel smoother or more intense. Some scenes like Viole giving the ring that Wangnan lost felt too sudden, especially given the whole bathing scene with the guys bonding or getting to know each other a bit were cut in the anime. This was just a shinsu test with a point system attached and not much real animation to showcase the strengths of others besides Viole's shinsu exploding basically (wasn't a test I exactly loved in the webtoon too but it is very short and easy to move on from after it is done). But hopefully with the next episode, the tension can ramp up with a real test this time around for Viole to deal with against Proctor Love here, he in particular has some real beef and anger towards FUG so expect him to make it an opportunity to take Viole down. I don't mind shows that look a bit average or not as well-animated as some other shows as long as the stories and characters can shine through but this episode feels like its missing something and it's hard to ignore completely. It is nice to meet some new characters again and have some nostalgia in introductions like with Yeon Yihwa in this case. Even liked Wangnan's desperation to be selected by Viole no matter what and sell his case, leading others to join in the fray no matter what. Overall, a pretty tame and flat episode as a whole but the content from this episode is pretty transitional so understandable why it isn't the best or most memorable. Just wish some scenes at the end there were given more time to breathe and more were included. Yeah the ending sequences issues were an Anime Expo thing clearly, shame that the full thing got leaked but it was fine obviously with the regular release. |

| Well I guess the fact everyone got spoiled with the ED from the leaked episode just goes to show that being a good boy/girl and waiting for the actual release is better sometimes lol. And this was another good one, tho I have to admit the animation is hurting a bit but I get they gotta cut corners where needed, didn’t hurt the episode itself tho because it was quite the turn of events. The gang we got to know in the first episode joined up with another group of regulars, and among them is this guy named Prince who’s dad bought his way through the tests by supplying him with bodyguards, including the loan shark guy Lercher and the flamethrower babe Yihwa. But, as it turns out, Bam (who is going by Viole this season) made it to where whoever makes it beyond this point is at his mercy because it was revealed that whoever got first place in that strength test gets to choose who moves on with them, I had a feeling it wasn’t simply the order, get fucked Prince lol. And Wangnan being the smooth talker he is, of course he tried winning Viole’s favor along with some others, it must hurt having to suck up to someone like that tho lol, but Viole is insistent on not going with anyone, so now he’s supposed to take on that cute test proctor to get his way, I feel like it’s clear Viole’s going to lose but who knows, wouldn’t be the first curve ball this series has thrown lol. And it’s unfortunate to hear a bath scene was skipped but we did at least get that funny bit with Yihwa, definitely looking forward to the next one because this one felt so short lol. And that OP and ED are really growing on me, week 4 I’ll probably be singing along lol. |

wow everyone is just whining about spoilers rather than talking about the episode from all these comments I could only find like 3 that are actually talking about the episode and the rest is just 😭 spoilers 😭 😭 "the person who did the ending should be fired "😭 . it's crazy to think that people care more about spoilers than actually watching the show. I won't be supposed if people start dropping the show just because of some out of context clips they saw
As for my thoughts on this episode. it was pretty good I love that wangnan is willing to do anything to not lose his organs 😆 and the scene with miwa and viole got a chuckle out of me and the test admin eating what I can only assume is kFC is pretty cute so I'll give it a 4 out 5

| Ngl after reading the comments I went to see the spoiler ed on youtube and yeah that was stupid of whoever made that. What a massive oversight of probably some poor tired intern, lol. Not a spolier for me though because I already read this part of Tower of God. IT felt more like a refresher because I couldn't remember how the story exactly played out. But yeah if you don't want to get spoiled don't watch the ed, they literally beat for beat tell the how the story progresses then ends. Look if you wanted to save money for an ed just play the credits for the animators or some shit. Overall the episode was fine, felt like they really missed some comedic beats here and there, like they could've added a little extra spice "animation" to sell the joke. Like the silver dude wanting candy, it was missing that extra punch. Otherwise lots of tension and characters one upping each other. |
