What videogame would you say you never got bored of playing, no matter how much time you spent on it?

That videogame for me would be Tomodachi Life, just so much content and so much things to do, got that game almost 7 years ago and I still haven't gotten bored of it.

So what about you guys? Any games you've just never gotten bored of, no matter how many times you play it?

With some breaks, but no matter what I'll always come back to Mount and Blade series, since I've started playing them at 2009-2010 I still do till today, aswell as for Knights of the Temple Infernal Crusade which is my sweet spot game as it is my top 1 game of all time, I still have the physical copy of Koth in which the manual has the promotion advertisment for Within Temptation whom I started to listen due to this game.

Here's 2 vids of games mentioned if someone is unfamiliar:

I find myself returning to Genshin Impact regularly to see what's new. I don't think I'll ever drop that game completely. It's like visiting my old hood... :-)

Kinda basic answer but Wii Sports + Resort. Not like I play it every day or anything, but once in a while, I get the old Wii out and it's still tons of fun playing it with family and friends of all ages. The motion controls hold up really well even 15-20 years after it was released.

Still can't beat Matt though :P

Doom is one of those games. It only takes 4 hours to beat but it's so well designed that I still haven't gotten bored of it. It's the only game I have on the crappy linux laptop I use for coding.

Streets of Rage 2

It's a family favourite game. Both my older sisters and myself absolutely loved this game, and it's absolutely one of the games I've sunken the most hours in.
I love all the funny sprite hacks there are about the game too. I own several physical carts, including a Sailor Moon hack, one that adds in Hatsune Miku & Sonic, and also one that turns Blaze naked. Some are definitely better than others, but their all fun.

Various roguelikes and roguelites. I can always go back and play with a different playstyle. I can beat some of these games a dozen times and still have a reason to play it again!

I regularly hop back on Dark Souls for the first half (~until Anor Londo it usually takes me around 3 hours to clear it as I know the game pretty well but I love to lose myself over the undead's burg or sen's fortress), The world's hardest game's first levels (until I have to really try hard and then I just quit again) or even a few Osu mania maps. These are games I always loved and they're perfect to me to have a few hours of peace.

I don't have that type of game, even if I beat some very long ones 10 times. I need to make a break after some long time of playing. I wonder how people on YT are playing the same game for 10 years without a break, I'd go crazy, curse that money.

@Theo1899

There are also fantastic customized wads in regards to monsters (additional/replacement/random spawners), weapons (same but random pickups instead spawners), levels that can related to Doom or something completely different, megawads, total conversions, slaughterfests, heavy script use that then adds elements like objectives/non-linear/other aspects, changing the entirety of the gameplay, etc

Limitless potential

@KenaiPhoenix

Yeah something like Brutal Doom or Project Brutality makes me want to try them with all sorts of other maps (the same maps I played). That's not even mentioning some great WIP and those that won Cacowards

funny cause outside of it, i meet like zero people who have the capacity
to just degen themselves to the core and commit to it like crazy but
i love it. i think i'll always love it.
