manga recommendation.

Currently, I'm planning to go abroad, and while I'm there, I want to buy a manga. My goal is to find the best manga from one of the top anime series released so far, focusing on story, world-building, and dialogue. Since I've never bought a manga before, I really need some advice.(note:manhwa or manga, it doesn't matter)

Actually, I'm curious about the manga of the Higurashi series. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni/Kai are great series, and I have a feeling that the manga might be more detailed in terms of dialogue. However, this is just a guess; I don't know for sure.
