Kana lost so many votes in such a short time?
I'm sure last time she has around 10k votes so it surprised me how fast someone can lost so many votes considering a big fanbase of hers comes from manga so I'm just curious if Ai is going to surpassed her again what you think?

I imagine it’s just cause she’s been pushed to the side this season and in a way made as more of the enemy/Rival.

Especially with this season putting Akane in the spotlight. People starting liking Akane more and then also see kana as the rival/Enemy

But hey I don’t speak for everyone it’s just my assumption.

Besides I still love Kana

Most of the female characters in this series are pretty good, including kana, but for anime only people akane has the yandere vibes that fit with aqua.

The bed/balcony scene boosted her popularity by a lot and lots of people (me included) ship her with aqua even if they dont think she is the "best girl"

@Kitsune_089 personally I don't like her neither I'm interested in shipping or fanservices when it comes to onk I'm only interested in mystery and revenge but yeah it's anime culture that always demands waifus these scenes easily boost popularity for female characters.

I'm sure some people worry about stuff like that.

But there is also people that just finds it interesting to watch a fan base's behaviour change throughout a show. I'm one of those.

Its bots. If a character loses thousands of favorites over night it was because of a bot cleaning. It’s very rare for a character to lose favorites, especially by that amount

First of all, her votes are too far ahead for this to make any difference. Secondly, a lot of votes for many characters are apparently given by bots and fake accounts, so their number decreases sharply after cleaning the site.

Since you are new to MAL, the site has something called maintenence and cleanup where bots or fake accounts get wiped so the votes go away with them too.
i hope you dont seriously believe almost 4k votes changed into thin air cause of people voting within a day or two cause thats not how it works.
