Hearing from Krishna that the Red Cat Special isn’t selling well, Tamako decides to make a promotional poster.

The employees love it, but Krishna feels embarrassed about having her photo on it and rejects the idea.

My weekly cat overdose. =^_^=

Tamako is doing her best for Ramen Akaneko. It's nice to see her enjoying her new job so much.

Aww, Krishna was so adorable again. I think that poster was just perfect, hehe.

Tsudas voice is still great in this series. But that's basically it, nothing else.

@felixsifuri Unfortunately, it is. Japanese writers are so obsessed with that BS. I remember how they ruined Kawaisugi Crisis, which was supposed to be about cute pets, but of course that random romantic subplot destroyed my enjoyment.

@hich4n I'm not even calling it a guilty pleasure cause it's just so wholesome. though it's silly and hard to take serious so maybe that makes it a guilty pleasure. either way I'm having fun.

Passes the 3 Eps test for me. I found this episode amusing and even laughed out loud once. I find the characters and voice acting enjoyable. The art is cute, if not inspired. The animation at times leads me to believe the production is on a shoestring budget, but it's rendered professionally enough. I'll keep following for a least a few more episodes.

Wow this show keeps getting better and better. Krishna chan is very cute.
I need somebody who can love me at my worst
No, I'm not perfect, but I hope you see my worth
'Cause it's only you, nobody new, I put you first
And for you, girl, I swear I'll do the worst

If you stay forever, let me hold your hand
I can fill those places in your heart no else can
Let me show you love, oh, I don't pretend, yeah
I'll be right here, baby, you know I'll sink or swim

I didn't really get the impression from what was shown that Shirosaki was intended or implied to be a love interest. Tamako doesn't across as someone interested in guys or dating, either right now or in general (I don't mean she's gay; I just mean doesn't seem to be about romantic stuff) and in the scene in the backroom when she was brushing Sabu, Shirosaki's reputed good looks are talked about by Hana and Krishna and they even go out of their way to specifically note that Tamako doesn't seem interested at all in the conversation about that.

Later on, when she does things like taking extra care to brush the cat hair off her clothes before going near him or asking for and delivering the ramen bowl for and to him, in a lot of other series like standard romcoms that would be something seen as romantic, but the reality of the character in this series is that that's how she's acted around everyone up to now including all the cats - shy, polite, and considerate.

Awesome tiger poster and realism about how cats can't eat a lot of human foods so how would they run a ramen restaurant where most of the customers are humans? Good episode! I was almost as impressed as Pietro-san. Also I just noticed Hana changes her earring sometimes. Even cats appreciate ikemen, haha.

We get 3 segments this week instead of the usual 2.

Episode 3-A Tamako makes a poster to promote the Specialty Ramen mentioned last week, highlighting that the noodles are “paw-made” by an actual tiger. But Krishna is too embarrassed by the extra attention. Tamako apologizes because her other workplaces had criticized her for being too proactive. In typical fashion, Hana outspokenly tells Krishna that if she takes pride in her work she needs to step outside her comfort zone for the good of the restaurant & she agrees. Hana’s come around pretty quickly to vocally supporting Tamako & wanting to be brushed.

Episode 3-B A customer asks the owner why the restaurant doesn’t use some ingredients that are traditionally found in ramen. Bunzou explains that some (like onions) are toxic to cats & that it’s only natural that their sense of taste be different from humans’. And anyway, their regular customers value the restaurant’s aesthetic over the ramen’s flavor. The customer leaves with a new appreciation & it’s revealed he used to be an accomplished chef. I think they tried to be educational but it felt kinda flat.

Episode 3-C We meet another human ally of the cats who’s a repairman. But he has an allergy to cat hair so he always wears a gasmask (kind of overkill) while there. The cat’s are curious what he looks like since he is rumored to be good looking. After hearing that he’s always wanted to try their ramen, Tamako brings him a to-go order (obvious solution). When he removes his mask to eat, the cats watching through the window are entranced by how feminine his face looks, but Tamako doesn’t act particularly interested.

Didn’t enjoy this week as much as previous ones.

I love Krishna with all my heart, she's always so polite and respectful I completely love her. I find it so funny that she does the most difficult and detailed job (the noodle making) all by herself with her big paws and it ends up being totally perfect.
Also, I think Tamako and Shirosaki's ship is kind of forced but ngl they kinda look good together.

I did not know this either. Educational!

I like how the show is surprisingly realistic when it comes to the premise, covering stuff like shedding, not being able to eat the food they sell, the novelty factor of their business, allergies, etc.

Realizing that Krishna's Akaneko Special isn't selling well, Tamako makes her own draft advertisement of the hopes that it'll get people to try it, though when it comes to the tiger herself, it'll only make her all embarrassed, since she only wants people to identify it by taste, not by looks. And after a rather heated debate between Hana and Krishna, the latter concedes and decides to have the poster up.

And especially on days where business is thriving, the Red Cat Ramen doesn't let up, though one particularly discerning old man has an opinion about their regular Shoyu ramen that Bunzou entertains him on the restaurant's philosophy of Service First, Flavour Second, since cats can't match humans in terms of taste. And this is all by a former chef...

Another day at work, and there's one of Sasaki's friends: Shirosaki, the resident engineer/handyman helping the cats out in terms of working out their equipment, and has to wear a mask for his allergy. Other than Hana and Krishna wanting to see who Shirosaki is like, Bunzou fixing a meal on the house outside of the restaurant is good for the engineer, which has everyone managing to see what he's like: a handsome beauty.

This cat restaurant is more popular than ever.

@davidyodo24 Onions are poisonous to many mammals. Dogs will die from eating onion too. Even humans, but you'd have to eat like a bushel basketful.
Speaking of dogs, don't give your dog chocolate, as that will poison them too. Although a lot of dogs seem to like chocolate,
