Idk what the author wanted with the protagonist in this anime. We see him going isekai then he wants to die but also wants to find sacchan and set on a journey for it.. but then all he does is sleeping and attempting to die.. bruh make a decision whether you want to find sacchan or just be freaking dead

It’s based on an author named dazai who wants to die. There’s another character based off him in bungo stray dogs. This is nothing new.

Well, because it's referenced from one of Dazai's novels, No Longer Human(Ningen Shikkaku). The real Dazai Osamu also died by double suicide with his lover.

We get a refreshing take on isekai with a more complex protagonist, and of course, this is the reception it gets. No wonder studios love churning out the same garbage. I don't understand how his behavior can even annoy you when it's all in line with his character from the start.
