*Rapid Review*

This is a 8/10 Action comedy. It's simply Great. The art is spectacular at times, but it's just decent most of the times, which the internet may trick you into thinking this is the next Berserk. It isn't. There are peak panels and pages, but only usually once or twice per chapter, though this rate increases exponentially during fights, but for regular moments, it's just pretty good.

The scale of this manga is out of this world (literally), and provides a very unique experience only rivaled by Dragon Ball (by scale compared to other manga, NOT POWER LEVELS). The ... side characters get a lot of focus, and while the amount of characters is too big for each character to get adequate screentime, they are all still memorable and you know their powers most of the time, unlike something like My hero academia, where you'd need to look them up.

It has great comedy, interesting events and unique scenarios and premise. A must read, but only a lower-rated must read. Still a must read though!

It is probably one of the best action conduited mangas out there as well as an intelligent satire about power fantasies and the art is top notch but a little generic despite that designs are really cool most of the time, however that are all the good things I can say about OPM. It is not bad by any means but in 150+ chapters the story becomes progessively less interesting. The misteries around the hero ranking are a good hook up but it gets old quite early. It is a fun watch but nothing else. Would recommend the first animated part as it is delightfully ... made and really fun.

*Spoiler free* The webcomic is better. I don't mean to be some kind of contrarian, but it's the truth. The webcomic, written by ONE, has a story which readers of the manga would not know past a certain point. Whether it was Murata or ONE himself who pedaled these changes, they are bad.

Everything changed in the manga seems to strive to appeal to a younger, or just dumber audience. Any sort of nuance was taken out of the story and the characters fall flat with the omissions and additions in the story.

The artwork, which people love to praise, is good. Undeniably so. However, ... I feel that it's similar to the altered plot in that it exists only to appeal to kids who love the jangling of keys in their face. Extravagantly crafted spreads mean nothing when behind them is a simply bad story. Regardless, the art style feels without a personality, it feels generic, and made to appeal to people who skip over the words in a manga to look at the pictures

TLDR: Changes in the plot from the original webcomic were bad and the art work feels dry and over the top for no reason. Read the webcomic instead.
