Oh a classic manhwa, a manhwa which I classically despise to the core. Tbh I completely forgot about it until I was checking my on-hold list to see what are the mangas which I am not caught up with. And it came in front of my sight and seeing I have not left a review of it, I have now decided to leave the most stinking review. (Didn't bother putting spoiler tag because I already am telling you to not read this)

IT IS DOGSHIT, ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS, THIS MANHWA SHOULD NOT HAVE SEEN THE DAY OF LIGHT, WHOEVER WROTE THIS MANWHA DOESN'T DESERVE TO BE NEAR ... PEN AND PAPER.

You would expect me to be like this, but I am a man of fact so I should give a little constructive criticism to support my argument.

It is still dogshit, I mean it becomes one after I don't know 20 chapters or so, where our main character sheds out his skin to reveal his edgy nature, after witnessing the death of his fellow comrades, which itself should be crucified upon cause of the sin of bad plot design. In the first chapters or so, we see a full training arc which was done beautifully. We see our main character growing from a helpless little kid barely brushing off death at multiple occasions to a person who can now hold his own in a fight. The development of his character was good. He was edgy but not that much.

But after all that massacre of his friends and him getting allegedly killed off, he comes from his grave thirsty for exacting revenge from all the people who has turned his life miserable. And he becomes SO powerful and I mean SO powerful that he basically solos entire factions and emerges victorious with barely any visible scratches to his pristine body. And how did he become powerful?

We are basically needed to accept like it is the most normal thing. And the fight was sooooo long and sooooo boring. It was what, like a visual treat or something, except I didn't ask for it and wanted the previous story to expand in on more. It felt like fucking eternity. I was tortured endlessly scrolling down pages, asking when will the fight end, when will this manhwa end. And the main character was the most self insert, cringey dude if I have ever seen one. All the "COOL" things he spews only pushes his personality slider away from a normal human being. I was screaming every time he said something "COOL", rolling around as a way to shrug off the cringe off of me.

I may be misremembering some things because I last read it, what like half a year ago, and only re-read the last chapter as a way to jog my memory. But this is how I remember this manhwa as.

Now it is interesting to see where the story will go from here on because the primary story has come to an end here, and what bullshit they will introduce to keep this dogshit manhwa to keep continuing pushing out more chapters.

This story has great art and a smart main character. It takes it's time to develop it's story & characters (slow start) but still manages to keep things engaging. The main problem with this series is it's "shoddy" adaptation from the novel. It has a few instances in the story where it takes a few leaps in it's story to progress the plot. However, I felt that more time could be taken to develop all of the new characters (clans) that show up. It was never really a bother until some events that happen in chapter 27. They skip some character & story development which ... some people (like myself) may consider crucial. Now this could be attributed to poor pacing (which it is), but I hear that the novel does not have a "time skip" at this point and instead explains the events as they were "last left off".

Therefore, I would ONLY RECOMMEND this comic FOR those that don't mind reading the novel in tandem to fill in whatever gaps that may occur in the comic, or FOR those that don't mind the lack of story & character development and only care about action. If you don't want to read the novel & want your story & character development to take place within the comic (as it should and did in the beginning stages), then I DO NOT RECOMMEND the comic.

A shadowy world of a vengeful assassin who masterfully manipulates his way through battles with cold precision. Our protagonist is a fascinating contradiction—ruthless in his quest for revenge yet unexpectedly kind to others, adding layers to his persona. The artwork is stunning and immersive, pulling you into each scene with its detailed and dynamic illustrations. However, the characters could benefit from deeper development, as they sometimes feel two-dimensional. While the main character is often portrayed as a badass, there are moments where his vengeance feels incomplete, leaving some loose ends. For instance, after a loved one’s death, his fury is directed solely at the killer, ... neglecting the accomplices. Despite these flaws, it's a thrilling read that keeps you hooked with its blend of intense action and psychological intrigue.

This piece of work honestly is very good, the three marks of a good story is art, the actual way the story goes and the charters/ designs. the review i would give is that the art ofcourse is top tier and leaves no real complaints, the story is very solid and not too edgy but the problem that i had through out the whole story is guessing the powerscaling , i feel like i was having a grasp on it then either it changed or for some reason i had misinterpreted the levels, and lastly the characters and their designs are awesome but for some ... reason i feel like apart from the main character no one lives or like has a good realationship with him. 9/10 or 10/10 for thy me
