This is not an anime you have to get into with a serious mindset. In fact, you should turn off your brain completely before putting the first episode on because it is so devoid of logic that you simply cannot question what is happening without having an aneurysm.

As a cosplayer, I find this show hilarious! It has some ecchi (definitely less than the manga which is fine), it has some love, it has some friendship and it has a lot of ridiculous hilarious moments that will make you piss your pants in second hand embarrassment.

I don't usually like fan service or ecchi anime, but ... this one doesn't try to be something else. Fan service is at the core of its story telling (little as there is), and this fan service is used to create a charming parody of cosplay, ecchi and high school romance. The art is beautiful, even past the first episode (as of episode 5 at least). The characters, although not very realistic, are endearing and the ecchi aspect is approached with respect from the male characters. The main character never tries to take advantages of his female club members who want to explore their sexy sides through cosplay, which is very much appreciated (cosplay is NOT consent).

I would recommend this if you are into or interested in cosplay. The plot and character's emotions definitely make more sense if you understand what goes into making, wearing and capturing a cosplay. Otherwise, i assume it might be cringe or boring to watch... So overall, watch at your own risk ;)

Watched almost the entire series but when there is a sexual assault event that happens, or is referenced every 2 episodes I can't do this anymore. These are events that are traumatizing for any woman at any age, and this anime talks about it like it's just a casual event that is definitely ok and there are no consequences to it which is extremely irresponsible and straight up disrespectful.

Here is the list of all r*ape references so far as of episode 8 (spoiler I guess?? I wouldnt recommend u watch this shit show anyways):
1. Rudy forcing Syphiette naked. I let this one slide because it ... was meant to be innocent and he truly didnt know she was a woman. But looking back it's just weird and completely unnecessary.
2. Lilia getting assaulted by Paul when they were younger.
3. Rudy saying his dad blackmailing Lilia to have sex with him. It didnt actually happen, but still a weird thing to include in the story.
4. Rudy groping Eris's boobs while she's asleep and taking off her underwear???
5. Roxy getting groped every time she is with the prince while writing her letters. She often mentions he has a lust for her, so we can assume this happens more than twice and at other extremes during multiple years in which the prince doesn't learn to stop assaulting her.
6. Eris' grandpa straight up raping a beast woman in the tower on episode 8!!!! I dont understand how this is not talked about???
7. Ghislaine getting assaulted by Paul. This one is more subtle, but here are a few hints at it:
- Paul mentioning he never won against her except in bed.
- Ghislaine saying Paul invited her in a pool when talking about her ring which protects her from wolves at night, but mentioning she thinks it's a superstition because of that night with Paul.
- Ghislaine giving said ring to Eris, and that night Rudy tries to grope her while she sleeps but looks at the ring, resigns and says "i guess this ring does work".
- All of the above points to the fact that Ghislaine did wear the ring with Paul, but he still assaulted her hence her superstition, but Rudy saying the opposite since it kept him off Eris.


Essentially almost every woman in this show gets assaulted at some point in the story as of episode 8 and I just can't watch a show that normalizes assault. I don't want to hear "but it was normal in the middle ages" this is not the middle ages!!!! And it's ok to include in an anime if it's part of the plot line and then discussed or reprimended. But in this anime it's normalized and encouraged which is just weird...
