I'm an elitist pig anime watcher, and while I act like I know something (and literally know nothing), there is one true aspect I'm an expert in - overpowered MC trash. Is this show generic? Yes. Is it stupid? Yes. Is it genuinely pretty good? In my opinion, 100%.

A big fan of the manga, the backstory of the main characters turn out to be great. Rick's party Orihalcon Fist is fun on screen, the waifus are cute, and the production is surprisingly good. While the world building and magic system is rehashed and generic, the self-aware humour keeps it a little fresh and the lovable ...

Being in my late 20s as of the point of writing, and as a new anime watcher with less than a year of experience. I always wondered, had I started too late to do anything, be it trying a new sport or experience, when comparing to people who started in their teens or younger and have tons of experience?

This show is a good example of a simple concept show that is inspirational and shows that hard work overcomes born talent. While the concept is definitely done a thousand times by now, what make the show (and I Parry Everything) stood out for me is the ...

Anime Name is "The Ossan Newbie Adventurer, Trained to Death by the Most Powerful Party, Became Invincible"

This anime sounds generic but is one of the better ones. The story is about a character who trains hard with the strongest party and becomes invincible. At first, he pretends to be weak, which is explained by the third episode.

The main issue is the pacing. Fight scenes have too much talking, making them feel stretched. For example, a single fight can take a whole episode, which can get boring.

The animation is decent, better than some other fantasy animes but not top-notch. Some jokes and moments are ...

The theme of this review is the "illusion of hard work". The anime itself is a mediocre soulless isekai-like that isn't worth watching, in case you want a TLDR.

A very interesting phenomenon that I observe regularly is that almost every person will complain about how hard their life is or how hard they're working. In most cases this is not true though, therefore illusion of hard work. This happens because "hard work" is universally seen as a virtue in all societies and there is something truly fascinating when hard work is rewarded, because it often isn't. This idea also found its way into the anime ...

"It's never too late to follow your dreams"

Shinmai Ossan Boukensha, Saikyou Party ni Shinu hodo Kitaerarete Muteki ni Naru, explores the life of Rick, who at the age of 30 wants to become an adventurer, where this dream comes through a simple heroic story that he read in a book, but for him, it is something special and inspiring enough for him to work hard to achieve, it through disciplineds trainings. The premise itself seems interesting, but over the course of the episodes It becomes increasingly evident how bad this anime is in many ways, I will develop this idea throughout the review.

The story, as ...

Quitting his job as a guild receptionist to make his dream come true - makes one think this dude had a middle age crisis, anyway, he decided to become an adventurer with the ultimate goal of slaying the legendary beast.

In a world where you have to start magic training in your teens because it will only get harder/impossible to improve the older you get, we have our Mc who is “40 ish”.

We have smooth animation, no clay doll cgi (thank god), magic, swords, martial arts, vampire loli, orc with healing magic, dwarf whom crafts guns!

There is nothing new here but this show is definitely ...

This is a tough one to review: it's an enjoyable, if generic, OP protag fantasy/comedy; but it's also really, really insulting if you happen to be over the age of 30.

We've got Rick, our MC, who is in his early 30s and just getting started as an adventurer. At first, he thinks he's got a long way to go to catch up to all these veteran adventurers around him who started much younger than him, but soon he realizes that due to his intense training, he's already got the power of an S-Rank adventurer despite just starting out. Cool, we get the OP thing and ...

"This one is for the older anime fans..." Regardless of your age, this is an interesting one, and as one of the older anime viewers, I might have some bias about it. Just cause, in most animes these days, everyone is in high school.

The premise is straightforward: a man in his 30s transitions from being a receptionist at an adventurer's guild to becoming a hero. He enlists the world's most potent adventurers to train him, and despite being past his prime, he remains overpowered.

This anime is an average series lacking overall logic and depth. However, it's not entirely terrible from a slapstick, nonsensical approach.

While ...

Had a strong start, went on to make a good character developing sequence along with satisfying light story to make the MC something you can root for.

Only to fuck it all up at episode 4 with the backstory making him yet another "specialest of special boys" that this premise did not call for in the least. Seriously, why build up the MC in terms of taking a late-start and break conventions only to paint him as something "special" and not as something that breaks social norms and standards?

I was hoping to see the "hard work payout" story occur here rather than yet another case of ...
