Boku no Hero Academia 7th Season

MHA is one of the first anime that I have started on my own, continuously catching up to weekly episodes from season 5 (Still I'm not going to be biased about it).

Story :
This show seemed generic hero show until it was not, and things started to become much deeper. As I have read a few chapters of the upcoming arc. Considering the first two episodes were action-packed, then it slows down to build up for all the action and war, that would happen in future. Able to see some long-gone comedic corny aspects of this show. People should be patient with the build-up and enjoy ... it before it becomes more violent and dark. (8/10)

Music :
This is something about the show that could not be criticised, the music has been amazing since the first episode of MHA. Only through Ost like You Say Run I might've heard on social media, I got into this show. (9.5/10)

Characters :
MHA has some of the more interesting characters than these mainstream anime with high production. Side characters have part of their growth and considerate screen time makes you care about most of the Class-A Students (Mineta is an exception). Villains especially are amazing in this show with interesting backstories and their character growth and motivation. (8.5/10)

Animation :
Considering that an MHA movie is also in production. The season looked Identical to the manga if not better. Even with the moving aspects of a large amount of characters in a single frame, Bones is doing an amazing job of maintaining the quality in a short amount of time. Also, people should stop complaining about the blue sky, it has been here since season 1. (8/10)

In the end, this might be the second last season of this show.
So, I am excited about the upcoming episodes and might as well be patient with its production.

Probably the best season is in front of us, and all the build up for all these years got us here.
If you made it here I d assume you either already love the show and will enjoy it, or are a masochist, in which case you will probably also enjoy it.

The people who write negative reviews after sitting through 6 seasons, just did not realize their kink yet...coz aint no way anybody sits through 6 seasons of something they do not enjoy, which by the way is 2700+ minutes. IF you invest this much time into anything out of ... your own will, you love it - accept it!

So to all who are here, this season is exactly what you have been signing up for - for years, ENJOY!

I’ve been watching this show for a minute, like nearly a decade at this point and while season 5 served as a disconnect, season’s 6’s return to form in storytelling, pacing, and general enjoyment was a welcome surprise. Season 7 follows that trend to an extent, with getting into the action as soon as possible. While I would have liked to see more of a certain character from the beginning, I can appreciate the spectacle. I did really enjoy the focus on characters that needed it, specifically Aoyama, Monoma, and Shinso. The fact that a plan really revolves around students seldom seen as much ... as our main cast giving the opportunity to flesh them out is welcome. Altogether this is shaping to be one of the better season's of the show with it being on par with some of the earlier entries. I wouldn’t say the first 6 episodes are as great as season 3 or season 6, but around the season 1-2 territory.

Man, let's see here. At the point of my writing this, episode 12 has just aired. And I firmly believe that this is the best season of MHA yet. I've finished the manga but I'll leave spoilers and such out of this review.

First things first, the animation quality has made a substantial jump for this season. This makes all these action scenes more fun to watch for a casual viewer. (And hardcore fans too of course.)

On the subject of the action, My Hero is kind of a weird case: I believe that if you're watching the MHA fights for the pure hype like it's ... Demon Slayer or JJK you're doing it wrong. My Hero Academia has always been about the story more so than the fights. This is very unusual for a shonen power anime, and actually hurts MHA. Not because the story is bad, (It's fantastic.) But because fans of shows like JJK and Demon Slayer only consume one sort of storytelling. So when they watch MHA and see Deku cry, it's a turnoff. My Hero Academia has such a deep and complex story that grates against the average Shonen anime enjoyer. We want to feel hyped. We want to feel cool. We don't want our favorite characters to show weakness. To enjoy these fight scenes, you have to understand these characters and what their motivations are. What drives them to fight?

Music and sound design have never been an issue and are still a big strength for this show.

Here are my final thoughts on the entirety of MHA. You can't treat it like a typical shonen, because it's more than that. You're not going to feel cool watching it, because the characters aren't these infallible beings who are flawless and always fight for good. The people you'll cheer for will cry, lose control, make mistakes, and lose. But that's what makes this story so special to me. I love MHA. I want others to love it. But hey, Deku's a crybaby so people will hate it.

Overall, this season has been awesome so far. I can't wait to see how Studio Bones adapts these final chapters.

GO BEYOND! PLUS ULTRA!

We're really heading into the end for a series that feels like it could have gone on for 20 years if the genre wasn't oversaturated with lazy writers stealing tropes and ideas every single day.

In this season, we're witnessing the beginning of final clash between Deku and the Villains, and for now it's been a wild ride. Plot twists and character arcs are finally converging into confrontations that have been building up from the very start.

The animation remains fluid and impressive, especially for an anime in its seventh season.

The story gets an 8/10 so far.

What began as a seemingly silly, unserious rip-off of ... its counterparts in DC and Marvel has evolved into something unique. Im glad the series has managed to carve out its own identity, blending traditional superhero elements with deep, emotional storytelling and complex character dynamics.

I usually lurk on this website kinda but I had to make a review after seeing a few of the negative ones because they don’t make any sense at all. This season is one of the better ones maybe on the level of last season if we get more episodes like Shoto vs Dabi. Like the whole idea that there’s no progression is so crazy because we’ve literally progressed through the initial start of the final battle into the beginning of the core fights. I can’t see how you can argue that nothings been happening. I get complaints about the slower pace compared to ... last season but flashbacks?!?!? Are we forgetting that the best fight of this entire anime is riddled with flashbacks All Might vs AFO, that’s just the style of this anime’s fights more introspective, emotional, and resonant rather than just a bunch of things you can’t even see. But whatever it’s just been so weird to see people just make up criticisms when you could point to the pacing being artificially stretched through a little recap at the beginning or something. This season has been great so far though regardless

I love so much how dark this anime is getting. MHA has been one of these anime that whenever I feel like "I don't enjoy anime anymore" it brings me back to it and to wanting more. This season is so far maybe even the best one because of all the twists and changes happening and world getting into chaos.
I have read manga before and thought that this will not be enjoyable but I was wrong.

Story :
Story of MHA is quite unique in a way that there is no clear good side but there is clear villain of the whole story. While heroes and ... villains fight there is all for one on the side pulling strings and playing with everything. You have a feeling that most of the things happen the way he wants it. As I mentioned build up of this anime is amazing, and I love how dark and serious this story is getting as we aproach the end. Also we finally get to know who the traitor is and that left me quite satisfied. (9/10)

Music :
Never heard anyone having something bad to say for music in this anime. Love it. (9/10)

Characters :
Characters changed and grew so much during past seasons but this one is even more defined by that. Some characters surprised me a lot. Wish that Bakugo had more of a main side character vibe like he did back in previous season, but now it is coming to an end and we get more Deku screen time. (9/10)

Animation :
Animation is not the top notch but I don't have complains about it. I liked it (8/10)

This is a review for the first 9 episodes of season 7.

This season didn’t start out as exciting as the last for me because while the starting episodes were exciting they kind of gave way to multiple episodes of build up to the start of the final battle. I do like that the writers thought of ways many characters could be included and be relevant to aiding the heroes. But my one complaint is that there has been some noticeable padding. Episode 7 had close to 9 minutes of recapping stuff and my hero has always had this problem but it’s getting a bit annoying. ... Thankfully the last few episodes have gotten into the real start of the war and the battles. The first was really emotional and really reminded me of some of the fights from earlier seasons with the Todoroki’s, shoto fighting deku or Endeavor against the nomu. It was so good it’s one of my favorites of the series. Now we have another battlefield coming up and it’s looking to be really exciting. The animation this season has also been pretty good, not as good as season 2 or 3 but better than the last season or even the first episodes of season 4.

Overall I really think this could be a really good season with the fights that are about to get shown since we are done with buildup.

This szn has been soooo good some of the parts were slow like the traitor part but it had some rly cool stuff like monoma getting to be in the war and set up some characters we dont rly see sometimes. The last 2 episodes tho have been some of my fav in the show. The dabi one was so sad and the new one has the villain actually being scary. All the new episodes need to carry this feeling and itll be up there with my fav szn. I dont know why some people are hating but I guess it’s cuz this is ... a popular show.

My Hero Academia is almost my first anime or series. I started watching this as a great Shounen anime, and I kind of agree, but not until season 5. After season 4, they completely lost the essence of what MHN was for; still, season 5 is manageable. Notwithstanding, after that, it just fell and fell into the deep, endless pit. If someone says, what is tragedy? My answer will be MHN. MHN is the true example of tragedy. 

Academy and their lives with a Shounen vibe. That's the MHN I know or want to know. Reality is cruel; I can't expect it to always be on ... my side, even though this is too harsh. In the MHN, they totally forgot and drove in the exact opposite direction, which was to reach the disaster of the MHN. All for one, one for all, All Might replacement and villain society—all those are quite predictable and exciting ideas, because everyone could at least anticipate this much. So, I'm kind of excited for—what is the afterworld of All Might? How do they build a villain society with the same qualities as a hero society? This kind of story idea is pretty common in American comics, like What'll Happen After Superman Dead and Legion of Doom? Excitement is deserving, but it all goes in vain. They can't replace All Might, they can't form a decent society that is better than a hero society, and they even can't develop a proper antagonist like All for One. And academy life has completely disappeared, and now it's totally useless to talk about that, so fuck that. Midoriya, oh Lord, give him a ball to talk rather than cry, crybaby bastard. Plus, Tomura is all for one replacement: fuck, what a joke. Tomura is nothing but a pain-ass baby. 

That's all. I dropped season 7 with 1 score, which is utter consolation.
