Mahoutsukai no Yome aka The Ancient Magus Bride is he story of a 15yr old redhead girl Chise Hatori who was shunned by human society for being different.
Having no hope she willingly give herself to an auction and is then purchased for 5 million pounds by a large demonic masked figure.
Turns out this large demonic man Elias Ainsworth is actually very kind and caring to Chise. The first person to ever show her affection.
She is made his wizard's apprentice. Turns out Chise is a special girl with a unique condition. A condition that Elias wishes to study and learn alot from.
They develop a relationship.
...
And go on errands for the church. They encounter mystical and demonic creatures. Aswell as evil alchemists that are fundamentally different from wizards.
It reminds me a bit of Majo to Yajuu aka The Witch and the Beast. Where a male and female witch hunter are looking to break a curse on the female character.
Or Niehime to Kemono no Ou aka Princess of the Sacrifice and King of the Beast which is basically Beauty and the Beast.
Its a very character focused anime. Very art style and visual style focused. Alot of conversation. Always introducing a new character. Alot of focus on music.
Not very combat focused. It has a bit of horror and mystery to it. And some touching tragedies. And yet the anime still throws in some wacky comedy that lightens the mood, but other times feel jarring and out of place and ruin what should have been a deep moment.
Although the main characters are likeable. Chise is written too much like a mary sue. Every creature she meets immediately adores her.
And Elias is too much of a monster on the outside kitten on the inside type character. And i wish they were a bit more complex than just a couple of perfectly perfect people.
The characters dont have interesting chemistry. It all boils down to the same 'we come off as enemies at first but in fact we're really childhood friends' type relationship.
I wish there was some genuine mistrust between the characters. I wish Elias actually scolded Chise once in a while. I wish the two characters argued just a tiny bit. Their relationship is just too perfect.
Im not asking for forced drama just some genuine disagreements from time to time.
Everything just seems to be surface level with these characters. And some characters have the same copy paste personality as other characters. And after a while it gets very samey.
It feels like the story is looping on itself. The same things happen to the main characters over and over again. And as such it doesn't feel like the story is moving forward. And instead goes in circles for 24 episodes.
My hope was that this anime would atleast be an 8/10 but its a 7.

LeLouch? More like LeDouche! Rule Britannia! Britannia rules the waves!
Its the story of Lelouch. A Britannian living as a Japanese.
And a Japanese named Suzaku who joined the Britannian army.
They're closer than brothers, but now they have to fight each other.
Lelouch vi Britannia, now known as Lelouch Lamperouge vowed to destroy Britannia for murdering his mother in order to frame freedom fighters.
Suzaku joined Britannia in order to bring peace in a just way. He believes that changing things from within is the best way.
...
LeLouch is more willing to do what needs to be done to accomplish his goal. Making him the more interesting character.
As opposed to the white knight, and more naive mentality of Suzaku.
All i can say is thank goodness LeLouch is the main character or else this would be boring as all hell.
Lelouch isn't perfect. As smart as he is he cant take down Britannia on his own and does need help from time to time. Not to mention balancing his normal and his double life. It is very similar to Death Note.
Suzaku is such a giant hypocrite. He constantly criticizes Lelouch for his methods. Despite constantly witnessing for himself how cruel Britannia can be. He himself was ordered to execute Lelouch and a girl despite both being innocent. And when he refused he was shot in the back and almost killed by Britannia higher ups. And then he was framed for murder by Britannia higher ups and was almost executed if Lelouch didn't save him.
Constantly listening to this guy talk about justice and how what the terrorists/freedom fighters are doing is wrong and they should be ashamed just grinds my gears.
Im not necessarily trying to justify what the terrorists/freedom fighters are doing. I just dont think Suzaku is in the position to criticize them considering knowing full well what the people he is working for is like.
Suzaku is the one character that ruins the entire series for me.
Britannia is very cruel, brutal and corrupt. Willing to kill innocent men, women and children and blame it on terrorists.
Japan has been renamed to Area 11, and its people are no longer called Japanese but "Elevens".
The anime deals with very sensitive subjects like war, subjugation, discrimination. Hypocrisy and desperation. And the complexity of the meaning of the word "terrorist".
Its an anime with alot of deaths. Including some main characters, so keep that in mind if you do decide to watch the series.

Its like Kodomo no Jikan without the darker themes.
And also like Chitose Get You! but 30 minute episodes as opposed to 3 minute episodes.
Its about a kindergarten girl Anzu who has a crush on her teacher Tsuchida.
Anzu's mom got pregnant and married her teacher when she was in highschool, so like mother like daughter i guess.
Anzu has two friends who help her try to win Tsuchida; the shy Koume and Hiiragi the genius who always dresses like a cute animal.
The other adults play Anzu's crush on Tsuchida as a joke and dont pay much mind to it.
Anzu's mom on the other hand supports it fully
...
as she and Tsuchida were childhood friends.
But Tsuchida likes his fellow kindergarten teacher Nanako who is oblivious to Tsuchida's feelings.
Its a comedy so you're supposed to ignore how irresponsible the adults are for not setting the children straight.
Its a funny anime. Relying heavily on the cuteness of the little girls.
Apart from that there isn't really anything deep or amazingly written here. You either find the little girls' cuteness entertaining or you dont.
If lolicon is a subject that makes you uncomfortable whether it be in a serious sense or in a comedic sense then you wont enjoy it at all.

Whether you enjoy this anime or not will depend on whether or not you find the main character Yoshiko funny or incredibly obnoxious.
On paper she is a very annoying girl. She's stupid, dense, loud, doesn't respect personal space, cant take a hint, and is obsessed with bananas.
But ultimately she was still a very entertaining character.
The story focuses on Yoshiko annoying her super smart "childhood friend" Akuru (A-kun). Akuru sees her as an annoying pest and tolerates her as much as he can and constantly has to scold her physically.
Yoshiko's mom who is insane in her own special way really wants Akuru to marry Yoshiko since
...
she knows no other man ever will. She's willing to go to extreme lengths to keep other girls away from Akuru.
There are other minor characters who add to the overall entertainment.
You have the sweet Sayaka. The normal girl of the bunch.
Fuuki the Disciplinary Committee President who really wants to frisk Akuru's body.
Ruri, Akuru's younger sister who is as bad on tests as Yoshiko.
And many more.
And Yoshiko is constantly trying to force her friendship onto everyone.
The anime doesnt over stay its welcome. Its just 12 minute episodes so its very palatable.
It is very funny.

Keiki (Cakey) Kiryuu wants a girlfriend. He moans and whines to himself about how badly he wants a girlfriend.
One day he finds a love letter addressed to him with a pair of panties attached.
The culprits are narrowed down to 4 girls (including his younger sister). He crosses his sister off the list because there is no way it could possibly be her...yep the twist is obvious.
The three girls initially come off as being very normal highschool girls. But turns out they have very kinky fetishes.
Keiki is a strange character. He finally gets what he wants, he has these girls who are into him, but
...
goes running scared just because they are a little bit kinky. And the fetishes aren't even that weird at all.
Its like "oh no this girl wants to spank me, oh no this girl wants me to spank her, oh no this girl wears a sexy maid costume and wants to role play with me, woe is me these sexy girls want to fck me". Sorry if i sound misogynistic but grow some balls and be a man. If a woman wants you to bend her over and smack her ass you do it.
Its just dumb to see this character contradict himself like that. Going from complaining about not having a girlfriend to running away from girls who want to be his girlfriend.
And its not like these are just random strangers. They are his female friends. He already knows them.
The anime is trying to present this as some kind of moral dilemma, but its not. These are not girls who are under some sort of spell who are forced to do anything against their will. But it is presented as if Keiki going through with it is like taking advantage of them. As if the anime doesn't understand the concept of consent.
The anime just isn't worth watching. It has nothing going for it. Its not ecchi enough for that to be a selling point either. And its not funny enough for a comedy.
This anime is just a boring cocktease.

Its the story of a girl Mitsuki who gets tormented not only by a ghost angel Hiyori but apparently by heaven itself.
The ghost tries to straight up murder her during their first encounter but doesn't get dragged down to hell for that.
But i guess heaven really likes cruel jokes, as Mitsuki is forced to wear a chastity belt until the ghost can pass on. But for the ghost to pass on she must experience (sexual) love with Mitsuki's new stepbrother that she had a crush on when she was alive. She has to do this by possessing Mitsuki's body. Oh and if that doesn't
...
happen in time they both die ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Mitsuki's situation is very cruel. Not only did she have an abusive father in the past. But she was almost murdered by ghost. Is forced to wear a chastity belt that limits when she can go to the bathroom. Is essentially molested by this ghost. And is now forced into a sexual relationship with her stepbrother or else she will die. And this is a comedy...🤔
So because of anime circumstances their parents have to go oversees so Mitsuki and her stepbrother has to live alone together. And a bunch of the typical predictable awkward anime rom-com stuff happens.
Mitsuki and her brother are fine normal characters. Her brother actually tries to be a responsible older sibling.
The molesty ghost Hiyori is really the fcked up one. And because she is constantly taking over Mitsuki's body she comes off as having multiple personality disorder.
Hiyori is a pretty selfish ghost. She doesn't care who gets hurt by her actions. But apparently is gonna get sent to heaven and not hell because heaven has fcked up priorities i guess.
Despite the fcked up implications, when you get past how messed up this all is, the anime is still watchable...but even though there are endearing moments between the siblings the writers find a way to be cruel and have messed up humiliating things happen to Mitsuki.
Conclusion: The endearing scenes between the siblings are good. But the anime is too cruel to Mitsuki at times. Especially since this is labelled a comedy and not a drama. And its really hard to sympathize with the ghost girl.
And the ending is just a giant fck you.

Ended up being way more entertaining than i thought it would.
Its about incestuous brother and sister (Shuusuke and Nao) who were incestuous even before finding out they were not blood related. The brother already knew they were not blood related, but the sister actually prefers that they were since she's into the forbidden romance.
But eventually the childhood friend and the class rep try to make Shuusuke their own.
Shuusuke is torn because although he has strong sexual/romantic feelings for his sister he also fantasizes about other girls real and virtual.
He is a connoisseur of erotic materials and has a fetish for panties and stockings.
The
...
3 girls are freaks in their own way. The incestuous brocon. The childhood friend who wants to be his play thing. And the yaoi-loving class rep who wants him as pet. So its a tug of war between these 3 girls.
And its actually very entertaining. Shuusuke himself is a very entertaining character. He isn't just there to be the generic MC of a harem, he actually contributes alot to the humor of the anime.
This is getting an 8/10 from me for just how hilarious it is.

Its the story of an adventurer who became super powerful not through BS isekai magic but by actually training hard as a kid? Thats insane!
However all he can do is parry. No matter how many training schools he tried to attend, whether it be warrior, mage, cleric, assassin, he was rejected because he could not learn any skills. But out of determination to make his deceased father and mother proud he trained hard every day.
He still sees himself as weak not realizing he has in fact become super powerful.
Its a very by the numbers anime. But still enjoyable to watch.
The main character is well written.
...
Nothing spectacular but doesn't come off as generic or cliche. Its the kind of MC you can get behind.
It does follow predictable paths though. Girl gets infatuated by main character and wants to follow him around. Asshole guy challenges main character to a fight and gets humiliated. That kind of stuff.
I think the main character's obliviousness to how strong he really is is what makes it worth watching. He thinks everyone else is super strong and that they are going easy on him. He's never had a real sparring partner so it makes sense for him to be oblivious.
Its funny.

Ah what could be better than an anime love triangle? Especially when two of them are siblings...
The main character Masachika is childhood friends with two of the most popular girls in school Alya and Suou.
Alya is half Russian. So she speaks in Russian when she wants to hide her feelings from Masachika. But here's the twist, Masachika understands Russian but never told Alya. So she is constantly confessing her feelings for him without knowing that he understands.
Suou is Masachika's younger sister. She's a bit of an otaku. And a bit of a brocon (their relationship is not incestuous though). No one knows they are siblings
...
because she poses as his childhood friend. Suou likes to tease and manipulate Masachika and Alya. But she's not mean spirited she just does it for a harmless laugh.
The three main characters are fun and likeable. Its really entertaining to see them interact with each other.
The fact that Alya believes that Suou and Masachika are a couple, and the fact that she doesnt realize Masachika can understand her Russian makes it a very fun premise for an anime.

OniAi is about a girl Akiko who wants to fck her brother Akito.
Ah incest you gotta love it... 🤔
Reunited after 6 years, brother and sister Akito and Akiko are now living together.
Akiko has romantic feelings for her brother. Feelings that he doesn't share for his little sister.
But on top of the fact that they are siblings, what complicates things even more for Akiko is that other girls are gonna be living in the house too.
Honestly if the entire anime was just about Akiko trying to seduce her brother it would be entertaining enough.
The other girls are there to add to the harem. They all
...
have a crush on Akito for some reason.
Its funny how Akiko's incestuous crush on her brother somehow makes more sense than these other girls who just like him because he's the main character of a harem.
To Akito's credit he's not an unlikeable character. Its not like he tries to abuse the situation he's in. He has no interest in these girls. He knows not to stick your dck in crazy.
And also to the other girls' credit they are also very entertaining. Each with their own personality. You have the emotionless one. The aggressive/straightforward one. The short tomboyish cute one (best girl). And of course the little sister. And eventually even a loli joins the battle. The only thing you dont have is a tsundere.
Its honestly one of the better harems. Because it doesn't feel like a completely generic dumb girls harem. The girls aren't just there to be a harem. They are entertaining.
The harem plot literally comes out of nowhere. Its just next scene and boom 3 other girls are now living with them too. No explanation, no backstory. (turns out this is a dormitory)
If you hate incest plots in anime you wont like this. But if you are able to look at anime incest in a comedic sense and not in a serious sense you will get a good laugh out of it.
I found it very funny. The absurdity had me laughing so much.
