A halfway decent take on an RPG genre. At least there aren't many overdone hackneyed elements like yelling names of all the spells while casting them, or getting super flustered and having nosebleeds around attractive women. It does have a few tropes like a main character oblivious of the affections of a long time (hot) friend. Also the MC powered up a little too quickly in just a couple episodes and became an ultra competent adventurer for some reason as a low level monster after 20 years of a daily struggle to succeed as a human.
The story is decent enough for the first season but unless they rein it in going forward it could quickly devolve into tired OP MC cliches.
