I'm a sucker for band animes because I'm a huge fan of K-On and Bocchi (which inspired me to learn guitar), so I gave this one a try. And it's pretty good.
The music in this anime is great, as it should be. Banger after banger. I like how the characters have different outfits in each episode, which is rare for anime to do. The CGI animation is good, it looks really detailed at times, especially during the concert scenes. DON'T let the CGI discourage you because you are missing out on a gem. The 2-D animation is amazing as well, and it has such a stunning opening.
I hated the MC Nina the entire time I was watching this show though. I'm glad that this wasn't just me since some reviews say the same thing. She is so impatient and irritating, which makes it hard to root for her, but it's understandable why she's the way that she is with her past. One thing I can say about her is that she's really determined and pretty stubborn to get to her goals which helps with her character. This just got annoying for my taste though.
Otherwise, the other characters are good and pretty enjoyable, their dynamics with each other are really sweet. Though I wish that Rupa and Tomo's backstories were explained a bit more, they were kind of rushed over.
The writing for this show is great as well. The situations of the struggling indie band was incredibly realistic too. The show's morals are really strong, mainly being about never giving up in a world full of hate and unfairness. All the characters had something happen to them to get them to where they are, which motivates them to be stronger together.
If this show does get a second season, I would want to see more, as the finale was kinda rushed and didn't feel satisfying (to me anyway). I can definitely see this show being more iconic later down the line once it gets more popular. If you like band anime, I would absolutely like you to give it a try.
