Mixed Feelings
I came back and finished this work after dropping it for a month. It's deeply interesting, but truly appalling. I've read eroguro manga by many artists and had high hopes for it.

Like many artists of the genre, Shintaro Kago's art is breathtaking, and it gives off the feeling of 'wow, now this is art!' It's a keystone of the genre, and his ability to depict the subject matter was truly impressive.

Unfortunately (or fortunately?), this is the most intensely horrific piece of media I've read. The subject matter for each chapter is very taboo, and that is the vehicle for its curiosity and also how it shocks readers. But it bears repeating that the work itself is well drawn, despite it not being a pleasurable read.

If you like eroguro and are looking for something far into the extreme, this is for you. But don't go into it expecting beauty or a winding splendor like other artists in the same circles weave.

I do feel a bit bad for being so harsh, because I like this artist and am a fan of his art. But it was way more than I bargained for.
