This is a great show, one of my favorite of the year so far. The take on the isekai setting is fresh and imaginative. The story clips along, making impressive progress without feeling rushed, and while building a satisfying sense of deep mystery. Who are the nomads? Why are they cursed, and what blessings will their curses yield? What is the nature of Belle's sword? Where will her journey take her?


Belle is a fresh protagonist. Strong, egotistical, who feels deeply for her loved ones but remains focused, canny and aloof. The show also offers an impressively broad cast of interesting characters, from wizened beetles to two-headed kings. They move through this broad world softly, their own histories and motivations hinted at but hidden, building the drama, playing their role and leaving the stage. The writer clearly loves their world and their characters; it makes the show shine.

If you're on the fence, this is worth watching.
