Heya! Super sorry for the late reply but omg ofc!!! I enjoyed reading your thoughts on the series and saw we had some mutual thoughts on other shows based on your other forum posts (like The Grimm Variations)! Astro Note was one of the hidden gems of last season that was unfortunately missed out on, but hopefully it'll get the attention it deserves ^^! I know some people said that a lot of the sci-fi aspects of the show felt "out of place", but it just goes back to the fact that we don't get a lot of SOL shows that are also sci-fi so perhaps those people were just not used to it.

Astro Note is labeled as a comedy after all, so even during the most serious scenes (such as the final battle), we got a good chuckle out of it huehue!!

And gotcha!!! Same goes for you too, my dude! Hope to see you around more :D!!!

I've watched it several times, this movie is terribly fun.

The plot is a masterpiece, the United States is suffering from a lack of lesbians (they are being killed by vampires) so Jesus Christ returns to the world to hunt the vampires and protect the lesbians.

Have you watched Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter?

So here's the first question, what's your opinion about butterflies?

You got me interested, so I decided to check the horror tag on MAL. It is mostly action packed anime like Tokyo Ghoul, Hellsing or Zom 100 there. I suppose authentic horror like Bram Stoker's Dracula (so not slashers or zombie movies) is difficult to write and direct since it requires delicate approach and a very compelling story or else you risk to ruin the atmosphere needed for that type of story.

In regards to Shiki conversation, your eloquence, as always, is a pleasure to witness and it is a shame there's nothing interesting I can add to it other than to agree with the analysis you presented and express my gratitude — even without being tasked to, you managed to remind me what I love about this anime and why it remained in my personal top even ten years after I first watched it.

On a side note, please don't forget to tell me what you think of Umineko or any other VN if you finally get to reading them.

just wanted to stop by to say thank you for your great response to me on that forum thread. you have great taste: it's always nice to see someone else who likes Higurashi and Elfen Lied!

Yeah same, developed from many years of watching anime.

Also, 1st time addressing you in virtual person too, have been seeing you around but didn't have the time to say hello.

Not really a celebrity, but a humble review connoisseur.

There has been various studies how the framing of certain ways of being as a mental illness condition to label people with in itself causes harm which is why there is great criticism against the DSM. Schizoid isn't related to schizophrenia the spectrum is:
Schizotypal Personality Disorder > Schizophreniform disorder > Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective disorder (which is basically Schizophrenia + Bipolar).
https://psychcentral.com/schizophrenia/schizophrenia-spectrum#spectrum
Schizotypal is considered controversial since it is just a judgment on a person being "weird". Schizoid personality disorder is just someone who doesn't want involved with others though from what I've seen some cases are people with PTSD isolating themselves socially. This is contrast to avoidant personality disorder which is someone who wants to be close to others but avoids doing so.

I wouldn't really see physical disabilities as something not to try to treat but not every physical disability actually causes someone to be functionally disabled. Sometimes their other senses or body parts make up for it. A wild example is this one guy who echo locates able to identify objects and he teachers other blind people to do this. Still at a disadvantage in lit conditions but he is in advantage in dark conditions and he's doing something I can't and I want to learn how to do.

Sure thing and thanks for accepting.

Understandable, I thought those 2 anime would be of something to your liking.
I could see that with Death Note. I was drawn by it's concept and I was also new to anime at the time of viewing so I didn't particularly have a standard of what I did and didn't like. But I still enjoyed it upon a rewatch sometime ago.

Pacing is definitely an aspect of film that often goes amiss with a lot of viewers, even I myself can't really give a definition of it. Of the top of my head, it probably is the manner in which events and actions unfold in an anime, and whether I feel it's in a sense "natural" to it's story. An anime I believe does this well is Yuru Camp. You have it's premise, which is girls going camping, which also serves as the foundation of their friendship. They have goals, which influences the actions they take to achieve them. Plus, by the nature of the anime, there is near no conflict, which makes their characters all the more easy to understand and less contrasting. (Not that I don't like complex characters, but I like my simple things. Unlikrle Attack on Titan Final Specials:
). Also, the timeline when everything is taking place is rather short, (I imagine like half to a year) which makes everything more believable and realistic.
That's what I think.
What do you think, and which anime has good pacing to you?
