Plot and storyline is very interesting and memorable. I love most, if not all, of the characters (even the antagonists). Has well-written characters and fantastic character developments. Has put me on an emotional rollercoaster. Love it with all my heart. โงOnly have given this rating to six series total out of my entire anime/manga/webtoons list so far
9: Favorite-worthy - Similar to my rating of 10, but my willingness to re-watch/re-read it isn't quite as high, or the storyline/characters aren't as interesting/well-written. Has left some sort of emotional impact on me, yet has some minor flaws that slightly bothered me enough from giving it a 10. Extremely memorable.

7: Good - Wasn't particularly amazing but still enjoyed it. The storyline and characters were solidly written. Doesn't stand out enough to get a higher rating. Relatively easy to get this score but much harder to get any higher.
6: Okay - I enjoyed it for the most part but it didn't offer anything special. Most likely had a strong start but went downhill at some point. Not particularly memorable but still barely above average.

Felt nothing after watching it or an initially decent show turned stupid, but at least partway it was entertaining to a certain extent. Not memorable/distinctive.
4: Disappointing - The negatives outweigh the positives. Felt like I wouldn't have a problem dropping it but probably continued out of curiosity on how it ends or because I'm already almost done with the show. There were one or two redeemable qualities, but everything else was subpar. Storyline was bland and predictable, characters were very stereotypical/annoying. Probably would forget the storyline within a few days.

1: Utter piece of dung - Thinking about the series makes me want to slap myself for even trying to watch/read it in the first place, although if I manage to finish a show with this rating it's probably because the writing is so bad it's funny to watch. Everything is terrible and stupid. Hate the characters and the storyline.

Hmm, I don't remember there being any and it has less fanservice than Monogatari, but they still talk a lot of bullshit. And same, I know it's supposed to criticize the anime culture or something, but I can't enjoy it when it's portrayed like that... I've recently seen Owarimono part 2 and it was alright, not the masterpiece everyone makes it out to be. And the reveal wasn't even shocking because I expected it lol.

I just listened to the OP of Shikanoko and what the actual fuck...... this is easily the most stupid anime this season, if not the whole year lol. Well, I don't feel bad for missing any of those shows now. Ahh I can imagine how that feels >.< I would've watched Tower of God if it had a good adaptation, but there's probably nothing good about it. Why aren't they putting more effort into webtoon adaptations? TOG would've been super successful if it had a nice adaption, considering how loved the manhwa is.

Oh, I also had the same impression at first but so many things are going on right now, I don't think it's fair to call it a power fantasy anymore. The plot is kind of insane tbh and I'm only halfway through the novel ^^; As for the manhwa, I think it does a good job at presenting the story even if some details are left out, as expected. But it was great to read it alongside the novel and compare them! I think the story has 5 volumes in total and the manhwa is almost at the end of volume 1, so it's gonna take a really long time for it to finish :') Hmm, I think what I love most right now is the found family haha. Like yeah, Dokja has the knowledge, but he couldn't have achieved all this alone, he needs every single one of them in order to move forward. And they trust him so much, the kids act like he's their dad xD

Shoushimin Series, Make Heroine ga Oosugiru and Atri: My Dear Moments are the ones I'm most excited about, so I hope they won't disappoint. I've dropped Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai shiteita as it wasn't what I expected and Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi too because the first ep kinda bored me tbh. It looks great but it's pretty cliche so far. As always, summer season isn't very spectacular, but there might be a few good shows. For example, Isekai Suicide Squad is so stupid it's actually fun xD
And I've noticed some shows have a high rating after just one episode, like Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria and Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian and Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan, is it the animation or what is happening? I have zero interest in them xD

The most popular CSM characters are the ones I find most annoying (Power and Denji) it's gonna be disappointing if they don't change or develop...something to explain the popularity for those two cause right now I'm not seeing it. I think I'll continue since there are only 12 eps but if nothing has changed by ep 8 I'll take you up on that offer.

Tae-jun is underrated haha, he has such a nice character development. At first I thought he is gonna keep being an asshole, but clearly there's more to him. And he is kind too! I also love Heuk-Chi and how chill he is xD Su-won is pretty likeable too, he is like a way nicer version of Griffith ngl and I can find similarities between Hak and Guts too. But my fav character is probably Yona! I know that's probably the most basic answer, but it's hard not to root for her when she is doing her best like that :3 Kija (Gija?? I'm not sure which one's the right spelling haha) comes in second, along with Zeno.
I see Alien Stage on your favs! My Clematis was my first choice until I heard Ruler of My Heart, because that song's been stuck in my head ever since. I loove it! Hmm, spring season has been pretty good so far as I have less shows that are average/bad and more that are decent or actually good. Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai is a huge red flag so far, but other than that I've been enjoying everything in one way or another. Dungeon Meshi has been really good lately, I agree! A lot better than the first half and I'm starting to really like the characters too. Other than that, Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai has been surprisingly good so far! I had zero expectations and the story plus drama is really interesting. Kaijuu No 8 is really enjoyable too, the MC is a lot more silly than I expected lol.
Train to the End of the World, Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night and Girls Band Cry are also good! So yeah, I can't pick a favourite yet but there is a lot of potential ^^;

The first ep of the one with Grimm's fairy tales was interesting to see, Cinderella acting like the shittiest person ever was a surprise xD The Little Red Riding Hood was even more curious, didn't expect it to be so gory but really enjoyed that ep. The third ep had the best twist so far, because it was less predictable. But it definitely reminded me too much of The Promised Neverland lol.
It is soo fun to read! I admit I wasn't that into it the first few volumes, but as soon as they got Kija to join them I was hooked! Now that they gathered all the dragons it seems like one big adventure and it's such a joy to read. I also love Yona's development, she really is trying her best to improve and be a better person overall. I watched the anime a long time ago, but the manga is way better ngl. It has the potential to be a favourite!
I hated YGO's JP dub for around 40 episodes until I finally adapted. Pegasus sounds like an absolute buffoon and honestly I respect his English VA so much more now because wow its obvious how much hes' trying to channel the JP actor's mannerisms.
That said, a lot of the other JP VAs are much better, like Marik's.

I've heard One Piece is getting a reboot! Fist of the North Star's getting one as well. Makes me wonder if other big Shonen titles will get the same treatment. Even though it's niche and edgy, I'd love to see Elfen Lied get the Hellsing Ultimate treatment. 12, hour-long OVAs that adapt each volume verbatim. Though, it might be hard to watch, for there are some pretty gut-wrenching moments in the manga that the anime doesn't have.
Anything goes. Frankly, I've never seen DC and Marvel to be too different. Yeah, they have different characters, universes, rules (sometimes), and are owned by different companies, but they're still superhero brands/franchises by the end of the day. Animated DC and Marvel films are a lot better than most live action films. Ever seen any non-DC/Marvel works, like Invincible or Spawn?

Edit: Just finished A Sign of Affection and I enjoyed it! I would have preferred if instead of those love triangles they just focused more on progressing Yuki and Itsuomi's relationship. First couple eps I was liking the pace/development between the two. With how forward they were with each other, I kinda expected them to be engaged by the end of the season but the development slowed down. I guess the authors thought all those friend zoning and love triangles would spice up the story. Anyway, it was a wholesome watch. I'm glad it wasn't like A Silent Voice ripoff I originally assumed it was gonna be.

The plot is kind of insane tbh and I'm only halfway through the novel ^^; As for the manhwa, I think it does a good job at presenting the story even if some details are left out, as expected. But it was great to read it alongside the novel and compare them! I think the story has 5 volumes in total and the manhwa is almost at the end of volume 1, so it's gonna take a really long time for it to finish :') Hmm, I think what I love most right now is the found family haha. Like yeah, Dokja has the knowledge, but he couldn't have achieved all this alone, he needs every single one of them in order to move forward. And they trust him so much, the kids act like he's their dad xD

I've dropped Katsute Mahou Shoujo to Aku wa Tekitai shiteita as it wasn't what I expected and Nige Jouzu no Wakagimi too because the first ep kinda bored me tbh. It looks great but it's pretty cliche so far. As always, summer season isn't very spectacular, but there might be a few good shows. For example, Isekai Suicide Squad is so stupid it's actually fun xD
And I've noticed some shows have a high rating after just one episode, like Tsue to Tsurugi no Wistoria and Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian and Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan, is it the animation or what is happening? I have zero interest in them xD

One thing I noticed is how everyone else has someone they love, which kind of gives them a reason to live. But Hyuna only has herself, she is the definition of self love. Someone pointed out in the comments that that might've been the reason why she managed to escape. The more I think about it, the more beautiful it is tbh.

That's probably the case for all manhwa adaptations, they're usually more popular outside of Japan, no? Last year I've found out about anikore and how that site is like Mal but for Japanese people. The top anime there are totally different from how they are here on Mal haha.

Yup! Your favourites won't disappear when Mal supporter ends, but you can't add other shows and once you delete one, you can't add it back. You can still change the order though.

Tae-jun is underrated haha, he has such a nice character development. At first I thought he is gonna keep being an asshole, but clearly there's more to him. And he is kind too! I also love Heuk-Chi and how chill he is xD Su-won is pretty likeable too, he is like a way nicer version of Griffith ngl and I can find similarities between Hak and Guts too. But my fav character is probably Yona! I know that's probably the most basic answer, but it's hard not to root for her when she is doing her best like that :3 Kija (Gija?? I'm not sure which one's the right spelling haha) comes in second, along with Zeno.
I see Alien Stage on your favs! My Clematis was my first choice until I heard Ruler of My Heart, because that song's been stuck in my head ever since. I loove it! I also really like Hyuna's song, she is a lot more kind and silly than I expected haha. Hmm, spring season has been pretty good so far as I have less shows that are average/bad and more that are decent or actually good. Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai is a huge red flag so far, but other than that I've been enjoying everything in one way or another. Dungeon Meshi has been really good lately, I agree! A lot better than the first half and I'm starting to really like the characters too. Other than that, Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai has been surprisingly good so far! I had zero expectations and the story plus drama is really interesting. Kaijuu No 8 is really enjoyable too, the MC is a lot more silly than I expected lol.
Train to the End of the World, Jellyfish Can't Swim in the Night and Girls Band Cry are also good! So yeah, I can't pick a favourite yet but there is a lot of potential ^^;

A Sign of Affection - I liked how they kinda became friends in the end, even though Itsuomi still has no flaws at all and I'm not a fan of love interests like that. But rooting for Oushi is painful, so I gotta accept it ^^;
Bucchigiri - yeah it ended just like I expect it to end. And even if Arajin got some development, he is still pretty stupid ngl. But omg, now that you've said it, Arajin would most likely do the same thing Yuki did! He is still chasing after that girl, even though she clearly rejected him :/

The Fable manga should've worked for me, it has a badass MC who's also really silly and apparently it has a lot of slice of life moments. It just didn't grab my attention, but maybe I wasn't in the right mood for it, idk. I think what bothered me the most was the comedy, like I didn't find it funny.
The first ep of the one with Grimm's fairy tales was interesting to see, Cinderella acting like the shittiest person ever was a surprise xD The Little Red Riding Hood was even more curious, didn't expect it to be so gory but really enjoyed that ep. The third ep had the best twist so far, because it was less predictable. But it definitely reminded me too much of The Promised Neverland lol.
It is soo fun to read! I admit I wasn't that into it the first few volumes, but as soon as they got Kija to join them I was hooked! Now that they gathered all the dragons it seems like one big adventure and it's such a joy to read. I also love Yona's development, she really is trying her best to improve and be a better person overall. I watched the anime a long time ago, but the manga is way better ngl. It has the potential to be a favourite!

You sound like you're not very materialistic, which is respectable. :) I'll guess you were raised in a poorer environment? I have impulse swings from overspending on frivolities that catch my eye, to turbo frugality in which I pinch every penny I can. The financial moodswings I attribute to moments of financial liberty after a childhood of poverty myself, although I'm quite financially burdened atm for reasons that are their own long story.

I've heard One Piece is getting a reboot! Fist of the North Star's getting one as well. Makes me wonder if other big Shonen titles will get the same treatment. Even though it's niche and edgy, I'd love to see Elfen Lied get the Hellsing Ultimate treatment. 12, hour-long OVAs that adapt each volume verbatim. Though, it might be hard to watch, for there are some pretty gut-wrenching moments in the manga that the anime doesn't have.
Anything goes. Frankly, I've never seen DC and Marvel to be too different. Yeah, they have different characters, universes, rules (sometimes), and are owned by different companies, but they're still superhero brands/franchises by the end of the day. Animated DC and Marvel films are a lot better than most live action films. Ever seen any non-DC/Marvel works, like Invincible or Spawn?

Edit: Just finished A Sign of Affection and I enjoyed it! I would have preferred if instead of those love triangles they just focused more on progressing Yuki and Itsuomi's relationship. First couple eps I was liking the pace/development between the two. With how forward they were with each other, I kinda expected them to be engaged by the end of the season but the development slowed down. I guess the authors thought all those friend zoning and love triangles would spice up the story. Anyway, it was a wholesome watch. I'm glad it wasn't like A Silent Voice ripoff I originally assumed it was gonna be.
